So which Soundwave are you going to buy for your DOTM collection?

For me I'd go with the Deluxe figure. I like it more than the Human Alliance because atleast the Deluxe has decent looking legs unlike the Human Alliance version.

Also both Soundwaves have that crappy dull grey colour scheme but atleast the Deluxe has a Soundblaster inspired deco comming out later which i will more likely pick up unless they make a G1 Blue repaint of him.

Personally, I think his Cyberverse figure is better-looking than either of them.

Deluxe, no contest. Especially with HAs being $45 here.

Well, Wal-Mart might have em at 36 (same as other larger HAs), in which case we'll be in luck, sort of. Hah

Deluxe easily - as much as I like the HA line he's just not doing it for me, plus the UK didn't get any HAs beyond Wave 1. Conversely, Hasbro UK tend not to bother with later waves of ANY line so god only knows if we'll get any Soundwave. :(

Deluxe. That terrible looking HA will be the first one in the line I pass on (excluding repaints).

HA since he comes with in-scale targetmaster Laserbeak and he's large enough to stand imposing over deluxe car bots and not too large to be seen out of place with them. i'm too dissappointed with Dotm Dlx Barricade being a midget even for his own size class. i want a bulky Soundwave for the Decepticon glory :) .

He'll be my first and only regular HA figure since they're quite expensive here (assuming he'll be in retail).

I was really looking forward to both, but I think I'm actually going to end up passing on both.

The deluxe just doesnt wow me. It looks alright, but nothing more. Maybe an impulse if there isnt anything on the shelf for a while, but not something I'd go looking for.

The Human Alliance on the other hand is a total mess. I dont know what happened with the legs and arms, but they really dropped the ball. The grey paint is the straw that broke the camels back.
The design team can clearly do much better as evidenced by Jazz and Roadbuster at the very least, Soundwave just comes off as a lazy design.
Its a shame, I was really looking forward to the HA, but my expectations were setting standards the toy just missed by miles.

That said, if it pulls a Sideswipe and shows up heavily discounted at Ross then I'll grab one.

I'm going for the Soundblaster version since both the HA and regular deluxe version have cheap unpainted plastic that really pisses me off. Besides, if the deluxe were actually painted I'd still get the Soundblaster version.

I voted deluxe, but only because that's the most likely of the three that I'll be getting. I won't commit until there's a good in-hand review or some better photos up.

No poll option for Deluxe & HA only? I'l get those two if/when they show up, but not really interested in the legends size. Neither one looks great, but I'll give 'em both a go.
