Excellent mold spoiled by having pretty much no paint on him whatsoever. This is only my second custom and the first time I've ever had to repaint the whole figure. I'm not 100% happy with the way the alt mode turned out. All that featureless flat paneling doesnt really help hide brushstrokes, but it is what it is.

    All handpainted using Citadel paints.

For a 2nd custom this is really impressive, Transformers can be extremely hard to paint because of all the moving parts. I too am sorta new to the repainting customizing world so im still trying to find my footing. Keep it up dude it looks good!

hm, very nice job, i was always contemplating if i should buy a DOTM Sidswipe or just stay satisfied with the ROTF original version... might have to pick this guy up now.

other than that, gj on the custom. if only ur 2nd one and its better than my 2nd custom i ever did =P practice makes perfect always, ur learn new techniques along the way. and im sure from doin this custom u already kno what u did wrong or right and how to better ur next one, etc.

I hate that the arms aren't under the body armour. The first ROTF figure did that.

Not bad at all for someone's second custom. I'd recommend adding some black washes on robot parts to show off the sculpted detail and to differentiate them from the car parts more. :)

Thanks although my shoddy camera work has perhaps helped me in this instance. The bonnet (hood if you're American) is quite streaky. I found out by accident (and too late) that a silver wash over the top of the first coat was actually much smoother than doing 2 brush coats. So some parts of the car don't look too bad.

Thanks a lot. i love constructive criticism like this. I'm not too confident on washes, so I went with the tried and true drybrushing for the bot parts, but I will certainly try a wash in a future project. the bot parts are actually painted an entirely different colour silver and I was a little disappointed they don't look a lot more different than the car parts.

    Thanks again for the comments.

Looks great, that stealth mode shot is really tempting me to buy this figure. What guns did you use for the stealth mode?

You made stealth force Sideswipe. That's all you needed to do to be awesome.

since the autobots are usually battle damaged,it's okay to have some paint scratches, that's what I did,but it looks really cool
