wow, so they basically designed the gun with packaging in mind with the 2 tiny holes that have no practical use other than passing the rattan tie through. i guess hasbro is aware shockwave's gonna be popular and actively preventing people from stealing just the cannon.

I noticed that as well; thought it was a bit excessive.

Are you talking about the C-Clip weapon attachment points?

Shockwave's got a few of them. 2 on the gun, 1 on the blade, 2 on the lead wheels/backpack, and one on each foot.

Should see the hat with my daughter's Toy Story Jessie figure. Two nice molded holes simply for the wire ties that kept in the packaging :mad  Seems like common practise

Don't forget the forearms as well. They're hidden by the gun and blade.

not the weapon attachment points, but the tiny holes that only the rattan tie can fit through, you can see them when the cannon is off the arm and the mechtech gimmick deployed

I think it's pretty clever, and I think it's safe to say that preventing "swappers" from having an easy time is a good thing, especially when it comes to the big boys.

You'd think that'd be awesome. But five minutes in the NOT COOL thread and you can see that retailers will take back anything and put it back on the shelves, so long as there's some kinda toy put back in the package.

    *sigh*

I know that it's true, and I've seen 1st hand what people will try (and often succeed) in returning. It's just one of those deturants like locking your car that while they won't stop a determined thief, will still stop some of the lesser fiends.
