Transformers: Dark of the Moon: An IMAX 3D Experience
Opening Date: June 29, 2011. Rated: PG-13. Runtime: 153 min.

    http://www.imax.com/movies/m/transformers-dark-of-the-moon-an-imax-3d-experience/

This is what My Imax is showing as the run time. I have called around to other local theaters as well and they all say the same thing. So this would make DOTM the longest running of the 3 and not the 134 that Nelson said it would be at. Not saying he lied to us, he may have had bad info on his end or it could be that ALL the theaters on my end got bad info but I doubt the latter.

134 is the Theatrical runtime and 153 is the IMAX run time, what's the problem here? ROTF for IMAX had extra footage, I assume it's the same this time around

About 20 extra minutes for the IMAX version? That's rather impressive!

I'll be seeing all 3 versions, my very first 3-D, 2D, and the Imax. And then some more after it I'm sure.

This is the first we have heard regarding additional exclusive footage. That's what ROTFs imax was. It was both imax specific shots, and additional footage. And I believe TF1 was released in Imax with like 7 additional minute too.

It would be nice to hear about these specifics. I was kinda hoping I would jot have to see it in imax as well, but now this news is telling otherwise.

I have a feeling the film will be 153 (that's 2 hours, 33 minutes btw) for everyone, not just IMAX. They're not going to shoot 19 minutes of footage, only to have it shown at a special theater. Bay's not like that.

Damnit! Now I have to see the Imax version. $16+ for a movie is way too goddamn much to pay.....

I wish I had an imax theatre near me. I bet it looks amazing. I just have to deal with regular 3D when I'd rather see it in 2D to begin with

    HECK YES!!!

I'd rather they make a long movie than a short one. If I'm going to pay out the wazzoo to see it that way, I want the more bang for my buck.

They did it for the other 2 as well.
ROTF was longer with new footage in IMAX, and the IMAX release of the first one had additional footage too.

Yeah, by a few minutes. Bay also put ROTF's IMAX footage on DVD/Blu Ray. I sincerely doubt he'll keep a 19 minute segment from the general audience. He wants people to see his work.

Not everyone has access to IMAX, or one in 3D, for that matter.

That's kinda bullshit. I would love to see the 19 extra minutes.

Personally I'd prefer the 153 runtime for everyone... be interesting to see what it is once either the UK or Ireland ratings boards rate it (they usually list the run time along with it, unlike the MPAA)

Interestingly BoxOfficeMojo lists the running time as 2 hours 30 Minutes.. Which is closer to the alleged IMAX run time than the one we were told already

Do you need to buy a special DVD to get the extra footage?
