1-Backpack attaches VERY solidly. You were obviously doing it wrong.
2-For sure he's light, any leader without electronic guts would be as light.
3-Wrong thread, this is about the Deluxe version, you're talking about Leader Bumblebee.

Really like the alt mode. Old Bummers needed a toy with something much removed from what he's been dragging about for the last few years. Robot mode is less exciting though and looks like the transformation is really simple compared to 'Bees of the past.
I wasn't going to buy any 'Bees from this film since I have the 08 and the Battle Blades molds, but I think the chunky nature of his robot mode and meched out alt make it different enough and might make it a purchase if it gets half-priced at some point.

And after seeing DOTM, I refer to him and voyager OP as "Cybertron deco editions" because of the grid pattern seen on them and Cybertron

Man, I don't dislike him, but would have been nice if BB had popped out those afterburners in the movie!

Also, my MechTech weapon is slightly screwy. The lever can't pull back all the way, have to push it down to get it looking right.

Looks better with some paint apps. Now need to find a way to to modify the swapped parts with DOTM Deluxe BB to make it fit in alt mode.

Finally got the courage to buy this BB.

    Very interesting yet simple Transformation.

nice asthetic, even though you can't see the doors :(

Love this guy. Modding him into some sort of fourth Wrecker with a Mad Max vibe....AND, there's enough space in his arms to put LEDs too...heh heh.
Is he the best Bee? No. But then again, he's different enough from the past molds to be another character altogether!

    To the reviewer:

1.) You mistransformed the hood plate behind his head in robot mode. It's supposed to be placed flat, on a small tab behind his head. That way, the mechtech port is of more use in robot mode.

2.) Removing a spring means altering the figure, and thus the review is also altered.
On the UNALTERED toy, the weapon can NOT be used as a shield unless you keep it extended manually.

Overall, Nitro BB is an awesome figure, yes, smaller than previous versions, but a bit easier to transform, decked out with mechtech ports for a toy it's size and a cool design especially in vehicle mode.
Plus, he's more impressive in-hand than on pictures.

Personally, I recommend buying him even if you already own some version of deluxe BB.
A must have for BB collectors.

Neat! Thanks for pointing this out - his robot mode looks much more coherent now. On a related note, I'm gonna say that this is my favorite Movie Bumblebee toy yet. If he had a wrist swivel, he'd be utterly perfect, but as-is he's wonderful.

Just got him a few days ago, not sure how I feel about the figure. Great car mode but the robot mode is lacking in paint, haven't thought of how I want to paint this one up yet but I hope it looks better after I paint it. The gun is crap until you take the spring out, but still not a huge fan of it.

I was afraid I missed out on him until I saw him yesterday at Walmart. Grabbed him right away and love him!

Agreed! I have been giving ball joint wrists to several TFs with their hands stuck in that position. But for those ones, they needed movable hands to transform. With this guy, I think there's enough room in car mode that I might just cut out his hands and glue them in at a different position. Maybe first I'll see if I can get some kind of articulated wrist in there and just glue it in as a fallback plan...

I'd almost suggest instead to just give his wrists a swivel (using a super-glued nail as the peg)...
