I don't collect movie figures, so sorry if this comes off "dumb". I'm jsut asking through what I see in pictures and whatnot....

But, with the human alliance toys, and how they turn into weapons that are totally held up by one arm of these movie characters, I am amazed! Are the joints and plastics on these toys just made of "sterner stuff", or are the HA toys relaly THAT light in weight? Bc, looking at the size, it's insane that bots are able to hold these things up as weapons.

I haven't bought any HA Basics, but the joints on the figures I have bought actually seem a bit loose. The joints on Megatron's legs are very loose.

My Bumblebee's shoulder isn't strong enough to hold up his BFG.

The ball joints from movie toys are actually really iffy. Depends on what you get. Leader figures, obviously, don't have much of a problem thanks to ratchet joints. Deluxes and below tend to be completely ball joints.

I will say overall I think the quality of the DOTM figures is better than the ROTF figures.

Hard to judge. My Barricade and Starscream figures seem to have particularly tight joints. But then those are the ones I've most recently opened, so maybe it's cause I haven't messed around with them as much as other figures I might compare them to.

Megatron has a really loose pin joint in his arm though. Dunno what to do about that.

I was wondering if I was the only one who noticed this, I bought 2 of megatron and both right knee joints were loose.

I also had loose legs on Megatron. The rest of the figures are pretty solid, it's Mechtech that is the problem. Too heavy for the figures arms in most cases.

Almost every joint on my Dlx Crankcase was loose. Couldn't hold his gun up at all. He's much nicer since I fixed them though. :)
I think generally it's luck of the draw. Or the ones you've seen holding HAs have tightened the joints like I did with Cranky.

Barricade is a pain in the ass to stand up.

Right now i'm trying to transform Fireburst Optimus Prime and he's not letting me unpeg his arms from that connector piece.

Looseness and tightness that annoys me. :lol

The right leg of my Legion Leadfoot is pretty loose, same with the legs (and backpack) on my deluxe Crankcase.

how tight the joints are is very much like gambling, sometimes you get lucky but more often than not they are way too loose or so tight as to cause stress marks.

I think it is sort of hit or miss with any figure. I will say, with Crankcase, on mine, his left leg is really sorta floppy. Still stands pretty well, so I'm ok with it :)
