I've been working on Ironhide on and off since I picked him up in July. The only reason he wasn't done sooner is because A) he's a pain to reassemble, and B) I was waiting on a pair of hands from FakeBusker83.

His arm kibble bothered the hell out of me, so I did a little mod of my own.

I removed the folding doors from his arms, and mounted them to the back of the truck bed using feet from a junked TFTM Leader Prime. Then, I removed a lot of the support bar so they could slide up and down, allowing for transformation. It creates a nice hip armor profile.

I also sliced up the doors and glued them elsewhere for additional armor panels.

Oh yeah, and I gave him a blue head LED.

While I was doing the LED mod, I came up with a way to make his battle mask retractable. By removing some of the area at the back of the head, the mask slides down in front of the chest piece. Add some superglue around the inner pivot point, and it slides and stays into place.

I did something different with my pictures this time. Because of the mod, I did a transformation sequence.

    Enjoy!

Cool mods. I really want figure. I can see some of the changes in your pics but if they were on a full white background it would be easier.

Actually, because the panels are articulated, he retains his full range of motion.

I'll work on a guide at some point. I'd actually like to redo it a little; I got a Dremel that should make it look much, much better.
