Anyone else not all that impressed with leader Ironhide? Maybe its becasue Hasbro set the bar so high with leader Optimus from ROTF and even Arguably HFTD Starscream, but to me leader Ironhide is too bulky. Too shellformery for me. Its a bit like ROTF Megatron, minus the horrible arm articulation. I'll still get it since Ironhide is my favorite movie character, but I'm not too excited about it like others.

Maybe Hasbro figured that Ironhide wouldn't pull in the $$$ that Optimus, Megatron, or even Starscream would so they didn't want to invest too much into it, but still. For what should be a fairly detailed leader figure, it falls short of expectations.

I wouldn't say he's too bulky (in fact, he's still less bulky than his onscreen appearence) but the inaccurate canons, super restricted knees articulations and big panels under the arms sure are a big let down.

I'm really interested in seeing how he sizes up with the HA figures.

Leader Class Ironhide (or his TakTom version) is the only DOTM toy I am really, really looking forward to. I don't mind some inaccuracy or kibble.

    Quoted for emphasis.

I want both the voyager and the leader figure, but I know I should only get one. The voyager seems like it will scale well with the deluxe figures; but I would rather have something to go with the HA figures if he's scaled well enough to stand with them.

Ironhide is about the only other Leader size fig I want,by that I mean I already have Sentinel and he is the shit. But as for Bee I still haven't made my mind up about him yet until I see him in the store tomorrow. As for other leader figs I will truly get Megs if/when Hasbro announces his prototype.

Depends on the pictures I see. Sometimes he looks great, sometimes not. I'll probably get him.

I do think it's another case though of them letting gimmicks compromise the toy.

Things that bother me about Leader class Ironhide:
Tiny arm cannon, Blue jeans legs, amount of kibble, and leg articulation.

Funny thing is, I'm not normally bother by those faults, especially from other figures.

Yeah. For a leader class toy one would expect a bit more. I'm passing on this and the new voyager. The best Ironhide IMO is the HFTD deluxe, impressive transformation and level of detail for a deluxe size toy.
