Surprised it took so long to see a review given how long it's been out there. Too bad about the electronics. Figure looks great otherwise.

I hope there will be a side-by-side comparison with ROTF Optimus at some point. I'm actually hoping Ironhide's about a head shorter. If so, I'll go for this version over the Voyager. If not, guess I'll save about $20 - $25.

Either way, overall it's a very nice piece. Thank you for the pics!

really?! they make ironhide a leader class? only prime megs and all the cons sans barricade from the first flick should be leaders (and fallen and sentinel prime and jetfire). voyagers and deluxes should be the rest. Just another fig that will clog sheleves and prevent the ones people will probably want from getting proper shelf space.

Ironhide should be a very BIG Voyager or a very SQUAT Leader. More wider than anything else. Since TF movie lines don't do the Mega size (Ironhide and Ratchet), I guess we'd have to settle for leaders.

    Isn't movie Ironhide 24' tall, compared to Prime's 30' tall or Ratchet's 22' tall?

Quickly, you should go to Hasbro and tell them this. These people evidently don't know how to sell toys, or what people really want. By withholding this important information you might very well be ensuring the ruination of the transformers franchise FOREVER.

Keep dreaming for that Leader Blackout!

Thanks for the great pics alexcollier!

If you get a chance, I'd love to see some pics of the truck mode - especially the bed of the truck. I'm curious how deep it is.

I hope they put these instead:

"I just want to show my cannons"

    "Are you feeling lucky punk?"

Don't get me wrong, I do think it would be a very cool toy if it had been made, it's just that people keep blaming figures like bumblebee and ironhide as if they were taking his rightful "spot" as a leader figure. It doesn't work like that.

Now back to Ironhide, i think the deluxe is still the most accurate to the cg model (especially legs and feet), but that doesn't always mean it's the best looking figure overall. The DOTM Voyager and Leader are both very good looking toys.

Translation of what the reviewer said:

    1. Vehicle mode's panels line up pretty well.
    2. Plastic quality seems a step up from ROTF.
    3. Looks good from the back, since there is relatively no backpack.
    4. Scale is good with human alliance figures.
    5. Leader Starscream is a tad taller.
    6. Looks better in person than in picture.
    7. Transformation is simplistic, on the level of a deluxe.

I hope that helps everyone. Those are the notes I found interesting from reading that Chinese review!

This is very awesome! And I will buy one. BUT, Ironhide isn't really as big as Prime. Like I said, very awesome, I will buy one. I do hope that we get a leader Megatron, shockwave, maybe Soundwave and yes Blackout.

I know Hasbro said they would only make leader class figures for characters who were in the movies the most BUT, Brawl was in the first movie for maybe 2 minutes, if that even. Blackout opened the movie and was in the end of the first movie and...ROTF...as Grindor...same guy.

Aw man, that picture of leader Ironhide next to HA Jazz makes me REALLY want an ultra/leader ratchet, so that way whole car cast can be roughly in scale with each other.

One thing that turns me off (same with the DotM Voyager Ironhide) is the legs, they're looking longer and longer, I want to see the IH we see in the film - squatty, stout, yet still second tallest Autobot.

Oh, eww, that is also pretty disappointing. Well, at least I have an idea of what I may save my money on...maybe.

The pop-out canons, chest mini-gun, and knife are pretty bitchin', though.
