Just received this guy. I havn't had a chance to write a proper review just yet but thought i'd put him up in case anyone wanted to ask any questions in the interim. Well, there's a lot to say about this guy. The electronics on mine are not working, unfortunatley. But the other features are fine. The "special features present include- -Hidden, pop-out guns on the forearms. Pulling the smokestacks back deploys these. -Lower legs open up at the side which pops out a firing cannon on the left and a hunting style knife on the left. -The face -plate can be raised or lowered by way of a lever on the back of the head. Unfortunately mine does not allow it to stay down. Pops right back up. Edit-didn't realise that the face plate lever is similar to MP Prime's. It can be used to make him look as though his talking. The sound clip button pushes the face plate down while he speaks but it raises back up when it's finished.; AND -The entire abdomen opens up to reveal a spinning min-gun which spins by way of a lever. It is pretty damn cool. Articulation is very good. The arms are very well articulated but the knees only bend 90 degrees. The elbows actually bend to around 30 degrees on mine so you can get some pretty good poses here. The upper arms have a swivel and the shoulders swivel 360 degrees so there's a lot of posing potential here. The toes are articulated and the ankles get some nice artuculation so planting feet flat on the ground is easy. The paint apps on the bot are very so-so. The truck gets some great paint and the ;logos are all reproduced very well. The paint job is very simialr to deluxe ROTF Ironhide so expect many custom paint jobs out of this guy. Really, the only thing that bugs me about the figure is the "butt-flap". He has a large section of roof hanging down around his ass but there's no way to move it. it's stuck there. May have to mod that. As for transformation. This guy ain't no Leader Class ROTF Prime. The transformation for me was very intuitive. Even the hood halves, which are on ball joints, move easily into the various configurations. The best thing is that the forearm cannons can be deployed in alt-mode. Again, looking at more play for the kids. I'll be posting some comparison pics later this evening. UPDATE The sound chip works. Lowering the battle mask activates two clips. "Ironhide here" and "Weapons ready". Green eyes. Deploying the Gut-Gun activates a firing sound with red light in one barrel. Very cool as the minigun spins giving a blurred firing flash. The truck also has sounds. A 10 second clip which is obviously mimicking a bull. Very growly with snorts.
