Is he any more accurate than the rotf one?? I'd imagine it would be easy enough to sand the techy details off the windows, so I'm wondering if he is or not. I'm a bit to much into accuracy, so.. Yea.. Wondering which is closer to the animation model.. Thanks everyone!

I'm going to have to go with the ROTF mold.... a much better figure than DOTM.

I have both, and ROTF is a better figure, I just use the DOTM version as a different character.

I like ROTF better, it is a bigger figure and more detailed IMO.

I prefer the dotm, on the basis of he looks more screen accurate (colour style of of question) he looks great from the side and the front in bot mode. I found the rotf model to lack good articulation and he also seemed very comupy, also the whips were too short! But in my opinion the dotm model is the supreme in his line. :) )

After repainting the DOTM figure, he is perfect. Way better than the ROTF one, IMO. I prefer the DOTM's transformation over the ROTF one. Just the overall look of the figure impresses me more.

Personally I like both molds, but the lack of workable articulation on the RoTF mold gives the DoTM version a slight nudge ahead for me. Color is obviously wrong and the DoTM mold is definitely not perfect of course.

You're gonna sand the tech details off the windows? what tech details?

ROTF Jolt is a piece of shit. I like the color, but the transformation is too simple, his legs are stupid, and the sculpt is really basic. I've never liked that figure.

I really like DOTM jolt. His transformation is much more involved and interesting, I love his wings, his legs look better, he can turn his head, he's got all the articulation you really need, the only downsides are the color, and that the shoulders don't peg in.

They're the same height. ROTF is just... chunkier.

ROTF Jolt is more accurate to the CG design, but only because DOTM Jolt uses a completely new design. ROTF wins by default, despite not being all that screen accurate to begin with.

How can you blame them? He was onscreen for 25 seconds, they did the best they could

Apart from the heads, they're pretty much polar opposites. Not in quality mind you, I love them both, but they have such different approaches to the accuracy/playability. If it's not accurate on one, it's accurate on the other; it's really strange that way.

Also, anybody else think it's weird how the DOTM version has INSANE shoulder articulation but no elbows?

The DOTM version has elbows. They're just oddly placed due to his arm design. You use his elbows during transformation to fold the arms out from underneath the car.

As such, I'm reluctant to really call them elbows so much as second shoulders.
