simply which was cooler. Personal vote goes for DOTM since, you know, people actually got vaporized on screen.

It's hard to say... I mean, we get to watch clips of Chicago and its aftermath, which gives it an edge for emotion, while avengers had you there throughout the entire invasion.

Avengers. It just felt tighter on a storytelling level.

The Avengers. It had more of a flow and was more coherent.

DOTM, mainly because you could tell people were dieing and that it was a global invasion.

Plus, nuking the mothership cannot hold a candle to caving Cybertron in on itself.

    Oh, and it lasted longer.

Avengerz, because everyone had screen time, there was a nuke involved, a plot oh and no useless main characters.

DOTM. That was a global invasion while the invasion in The Avengers seemed to center just around Manhattan.

DOTM because i actually saw people die. Note: I thought The Avengers was great but during the whole invasion i didn't see anyone die! which is a nit pick but still that whole invasion and no one died on camera!

I'm sure he was trying to hit the Wreckers, but was missing. (G1 homage!)

Anyway, I say Avengers. Everyone got screentime, and the different views on people was great.

The final scene of DoTM was basically 70% human, 30% robot.

    Avengers.

The focus is tight on the title characters, and no one character owns the battle. You see every member of the team contribute and they all get to look awesome and deliver awesome dialogue between each other. It's a true team effort and an exercise in how to make a film with an ensemble cast.

There are no God mode Optimus Primes and Rambo Bumblebees, and it's better for it.

It comes down to characters and storytelling for me first and foremost - and that's why I was more engaged in the Avengers battle and invasion scenes.
