Sorry for digging up an old thread, but I've just received my Leadfoot..wanted this figure for a long time but always passed on him until now.

Although I feel the DOTM Human Alliance figures are of a lesser quality than most of the ROTF one (well ok, Sideswipe kind of sucked, too) I can't help but love this guy.

Love the character's movie design, and the fact he comes with his own robo-dog. Awesome. Following the instructions leave you with something that looks kind of terrible, but I feel there's only one thing wrong with the official transformation (which sadly cascades into a couple of other impossibilities).

It's probably a design oversight, and since I'm very late to the party you guys have figured it out anyway (looking at some of the pics in this thread you even managed to come up with better transformations!) but there's no way to tab the waist tab into the chest through the sliderhole (that's used for the chest).

I've transformed the figure per the instructions, but didn't tab in that waist, instead slid the chest forward. This allows you to fold up the windows leaving you with this:



So yeah...amazing that just that one problem results in so many smaller ones. He now looks fine to me.

I think it's how it's suppose to look, but I had to do some modding.

 

Matt Booker has an awesome way to transform him that makes him much more movie accurate without modding much of anything at all.

What's the purpose of the flap on his right arm? Anyone have an idea?

 

IIRC, it's for storing the chain that connects to Steeljaw...

 

Awesome, I'll try it. Seems weird that the flap has a "back peg" for the human figure too, but the other arm doesn't.

Mine didn't come with directions because I bought it loose so I wasn't sure if any of that was mentioned at all. Thanks!

 

god i love this design. i'd love to get one and repaint it as Maccadam.

 

Is this possibly how this is suppose to be transformed?

 

doubt it since there's molded crotch detail but i like your transformation better them most (except maybe seali-me's). god i love this design.

I decided to start playing around with my Leadfoot again and trying out some of the various transformations.....I like him.

BUT, I'm surprised no one has figured out any to address the atrocious hands on this figure.

No mods whatsoever?
