just found this guy in the store, figured I'd post some pics. Not sure how I feel about him yet, his plastic feels a little cheap and he's definitely smaller than a scout.

He is similar to the rotf legends figure, except the part that becomes arms on the legends figure folds up on his back and where the shoulder place was on the Legends now has the full arm folded up. Legs have the same problems as the legend, the lower legs look hollow and feel too far back. I can think of a number of alternate ways they could have done them better that would probably not have changed the production cost at all, but whatever. At least there are knees. Overall proportions feel a little off, but its not bad. Tranformation is somewhat complex, but simple enough to be done quickly.

His articulation is limited to ball joint shoulders and hips with hinge elbows and knees. His hands hold his guns and his backpack clips onto 3 mm pegs.

I like smaller figures, so I like the size and I definitely like the cyberverse idea, but im not sure yet about this guy. Definitely not as good as the movie scouts, but decent enough. Fun to fidget with, but far from perfect. Not enough bang for your buck though. 10 bucks and some change after tax at TRU, which would have gotten me a scout, with better articulation, a better transformation, and a little more size.

Thanks for the review. I wasn't sure i was going to get him, but after looking at your pics, i definitely am. He's much better than the ROTF legends. Does anyone know if he will be a preview figure in the UK?

    DOTM preview optimus

Hey guys first time givng feedback on a figure.

Today we have Dark of the moon - Optimus Prime, truth be told I don't know what class he is just saw him and thought he looked neat

    In packaging
    [IMG]
Pretty nifty but I did pay more for the packaging and glasses a whooping $10 for essentially a slightly taller legend fig, I don't mean that in a bad way ad I'll explain later on.

Broken free (almost) from his prison
    [IMG]
You can see here that the glasses are red framed with blue flame highlights (oh noes lol)

    Free!

Very nice looking bot, very nice

    Disarmed
    [IMG]
    Without jet pack
    [IMG]

    Poseability
    [IMG]
    Raaawr
    [IMG]

Now its awesome he has pins in the elbows and in the knees unlike standard legend class figures. He obviously doesn't have ankles or wrists (sadly) and his head doesn't turn but he does have shoulders & legs on a ball joints.

    Transformation
First we fold his arms in
    [IMG]
Then we slide his legs down
    [IMG]
Then we unclick his waist and twist it 180
    [IMG]
    Then lock the feet together
    [IMG]
Now with his chest unlocked we slide it forward
    [IMG]
    Click his rear wheels together
    [IMG]
    Now bennd his legs forward
    [IMG]
    Then slide the cab forward
    [IMG]
    Push his head down
    [IMG]
    Fold his arms back

    Vehicle mode
    [IMG]
Very nice alt mode very solid feeling to and it rolls nicely

Vehicle with jet pack, jet powered convoy

    Gun turrent....thing lol
    [IMG]
    Then fold the wings down
    [IMG]

    Size comparison
    [IMG]
    Without powering up
    [IMG]
Next to ths and rotf legends class pup
    Powered up
    [IMG]
That's it I really wasn't expecting much and got a hell of a figure than I thought for the price. I would recommend it for anyone really, from people that need a leader in legends class to people like me that want something to carry around in their pocket. He does lose few points for not having real hands or thigh swivel but wth its as legends with more possibility than before. So that's peanuts to just having a block that kinda transforms, Go get him.....get him now!

    Oh and btw

Nice to finally see how big it is compared to Scouts and Legends.
And I assume he is NOT backwards-compatible with Jetfire (aww...).

Knees and elbows are awesome, but I think I'll wait for the one with the trailer.

Just awesome. He looks like the perfect size to go with Legends, since Prime is typically tallere

Ball jointed shoulders and hips AND hinged elbows and knees?

That sounds pretty damn good, actually. May pick him up if I see him now....

So the Scout Class is being turned into less of a Basic class and more of a Bigger Legends class.

    For shame.

    Agreed 100%.
The scout classes from ROTF always blew me away, and know they've been degraded into upscaled legends.
    Sigh.

Uh, yeah, what the hell is this nonsense about the scout class turning into anything BUT the scout class?

Cyberverse is it's own subline with it's own size classes. Has nothing to do with the mainline classes.

Seriously, the leaps in logic astound me.

I think that it's pretty cool (and personally think it might be the Cyberverse line's saving grace) that the jetpack clips on using the new clip system. I might just start buying these to get some clip-on accessories for the bigger guys.

In fact the barrels of the two guns can act as clip points, and so can Prime's smokestacks...in addition to the clip point in the rear of the truck that allows for the normal placement of the jetpack, and directly under each hand, and the gas tanks on each shoulder.

Maybe this was the point of the line all along, and maybe you all knew that. I didn't. I had no interest in this line at all until I sat down with this little guy and took a good look at how much fun could be had.

EDIT: They also gave him a spot to hold both guns on the backpack, AND on the pieces that form the hitch of the truck itself. So he can carry his guns in robot mode around regardless of whether you like the new jetpack or not.

I think we will still get good looking scouts in cyberverse
Just look at Powerglide and Black out.
It doesn't help that the first person selling these things is doing it at $2 over msrp
