So when the space bridge was shut down for good, and Cybertron seemed to implode....

Did Cybertron collapse into itself, or was that just their way of illustrating the closed portal?

That really confused me. When the space bridge cut off the first time, it looked like the closing bridge cut the planet in half. But when it came back online, Cybertron just kept emerging like nothing happened.

I was thinking the destruction of the space bridge caused some sort of mini-black hole that devoured Cybertron. Though in the novel (which is awesome and you should buy it) it was explained that Cybertron just went back to its own place in space.

I thought that cybertron imploded myself. kinda put somewhat of a damper for me if that was the case, being as how that portion of the movie referenced The Ultimate Doom

It was unclear to me as well. Until some official source says otherwise I'm going with the implosion idea, because that was the first thought that came to mind when I saw it.

IMO the half that came through was impolded. Not the whole planet.

Yeah, my view is that when the signal was initially disrupted, the space bridge went into "stand by", but closed in on itself when the pillar was destroyed.

So yeah, they totally effed up half of Cybertron (which means we still have half a planet for the sequel!)

Considering there were some planetside explosions on Cybertron the second time around...I'd say it's fucked.

Question: Was there still life on Cybertron after the war?

Not the half of Cybertron, I'd say that portion that you can see in the cartoon - how awesome is this?
