Dotm Big Daddy!...the red eyes make this bee look like an Ewok

 

More Hot Shot than Big Daddy.

 

W/e they're both black muscle cars with flames itll be Big Daddy when I'm done with him, not going to pay homage to some obscure spychanger figure I've never heard of.

 

I think Big Daddy's charm is that he's at the very least a retro muscle car, though. But it's your toy of course, repurpose it as you choose.

 

True, I really hope they expand into some more classics with the movie continuation line, like Epp's 70 Chevelle, or any of Dylan's cars.

 

i'd get this if i didnt already have the original, but this is a very good repaint. i would have preferred more black than yellow on the robot parts but i guess it's there to keep in mind that it's still bumblebee.

Just a quick question to those who owns this toy : Is the head cast in black plastic ?
I'm planning to do an all black Bumblebee and this one seems to be a good candidate (unlike DOTM HA BB who have yellow molded forearms  ).
And anyone tried to shave down the nascar grill to see if the doors window can deploy in vehicule mode ? I just hate fake parts...

 

It's been tried before. It doesn't work.

They're not necessarily fake, either. Just pretend he's got his windows rolled down in vehicle mode.

 

Damn ! Any picture of it ? I didn't see it in the "regular" DOTM Bumblebee feedback thread. Did I missed it ?
Anyway, I 'll shave the grills and keep the windows rolled down as you suggest. But then, they 'll stay that way in bot mode.
Any clue on the color of the plastic the head is made of ?

Thanks for the info ! Now I know I can buy him (it'll be online as Hasbro France doesnt seem to bother with anything beyond wave 1).
But the question now is "do I buy the regular version to give him Black windows ?" Are they swappable ? We'll see.

 

I've been fooling with this figure for a couple weeks, and I must say it's probably my favorite DOTM Deluxe. The only cons I can think of is the slight painting goofs, that the plastic is a bit more pliable than I like in a figure, and that I wish the pins for the doors and wheel bits were tighter (those have no easy fixes, I suppose?) I'm really beginning to like this mold a lot with the BBBB head attached, witht he chest pieces pulled out instead of clipped in, and the doors angled back away from the wheel kibble, he looks rather accurate and striking.

I'm still sketching out ideas for a better paint scheme for the head, I'm toying with a KISS-inspired design. BBBB is still my definitive movie 'Bee, but this guy is probably going to have a place in my movie collection.

That particular character using the name "Hot Shot" has only been in one.

 

As much as I despise the little yellow bastard, I am fairly tempted by this repaint. Dammit, Hasbro. I hate the media whore. Why ya gotta come in with a pimpin' repaint? Grrrrr.

I wish I had the foresight to see this one coming, cause I already bought the first DotM Bumblebee (which I actually like better than the Battle Blades)... I'm probably gonna have to get this one too. I love that deco. Wonder if there's some other toy somewhere that would make a good headswap candidate.

 

Yea bro...I LOVE this one. I will vote for best repaint of DOTM so far. Colors work SO well. I skipped all the base DOTM BBs because I still believe that battle blades is the best...hell Its almost a MP deluxe. But this mold is just a GREAT ACTION FIGURE as well. Great posablity...like I said...I GET IT now..all the praise for the new BB.

The red eyes. I dunno if BB went on a bender and hooked up with a meth lab, but the look is just NUTS. After he woke up on the motel room floor, and found the hooker took his wallet...he was ENRAGED, and mixxed with a bloodlust for meth and his wallet CFBB busts out of the motel room to exact revenge on the hooker, and visit the meth lab to implement cybertronian tech to produce DARK METH....It ALL goes to shit after that...
Ironhide and Prime tried to reason with him...Ratchet told him about these things...It dont matter...he has a METH BLOODLUST now...
You can pose him "carpet crawling" to find a tiny rock on the floor....You can use "money bags destro's SWEETCASE" filled with cash to give him that robbing the bank look... Hell...those red eyes....I wouldent be suprised if this is the culprit for all the vile My lil pony rapings goin on...

All joking aside..Evil Bee is one of the funnest deluxes Ive bought in awhile..I crack up at a new story I think of everytime I mess with him..fucker bit my finger yesterday..
