Sleepless nights for the past few days. Always going to bed with a huge hangover from all the paint fumes. Getting sick too. Well...this is it. My final DOTM custom for this week. Going to take a well deserved break for the moment.

Bumblebee (in golden metallics of course), Roadbuster, Megatron and Starscream will be up next.

Very nice indeed. Excellent work on this! What did you do to the headlights? They almost look like real lens and please don't say just gloss cause then I'd feel stupid.

I think you should repaint your background pieces. Take some time and instead of doing that stripey black airbrush thing you do, put some love into them, but don't go overboard. Choose a neutral color without so much contrast. Since you introduced them into your custom presentation your figures get completely lost in the background. There should be a definite contrast between your background and your subject. A quick test is to step back from your photo and squint your eyes.

See how everything just blurs together?

I'd say lighten them up since all your figures are pretty dark as is, or maybe don't adjust the levels so harshly in photoshop. Also, are you using 3 point lighting?

^ For some reason Crankcase has a hole in his window anyway. I just checked mine and it's the same!

Anyway, cool custom! Love how super shiny the black is, and his dreadlocks look much better when painted! I'm still scratch building poseable dreadlocks for mine. This makes me want to hurry up to post pics! :)

Looks fantastic ! Especially the subtle but numerous oily 'smoke' blue tints on top of the gunmetal parts.

    Thank you.

Hmm...I'm squinting and nothing's happening. In anycase, I think my background is perfect. At least for now it is. Until unless I change my style completely and need for a different background.

In any case, I've put a lot of love into this background thank you...

Yeah. Is there a voyager release for him? I won't mind taking a look at it. Thanks for the love.

Heya Slothboy. Do hurry it up. This mold is especially poseable. Really really cool character to have on the shelf.

And deaculpa, thanks. The hole is just there. I'm not sure what that's for either. Haven't tried inserting his weapon there for his 'stealth force' mode.

Thanks Plowking/Knoted. The blue tint gunmetal parts are actually platinum silver. It looks a bit different under different lighting. Hehe.

Your paintjob made me sit up and take notice of a Movie toy. That's really a rare thing for me. Excellent job! I'm starting to notice how cool this figure can be.
