That's just my opinion. I was so confident in missinf HftD Bumblebee. I thought "This is the definitive deluxe Bumblebee - they will definately remold him". And when I saw the pictures I was so happy that I was right. And then someone pointed out that the arm cannon was removed and that just made now not want to buy him.

It may seem silly but the fact that he had transformable arms rather than a cannon arm made him so great. But this latest Bumblebee seems worse for me because of the removal of such intersting features. I'm still debating whether I should get him for the most current 'bee or get the HftD 'bee instead.

Honestly, the removal of the gun and axe are positive things for this figure, imho. I'd rather him have two normal looking arms with two hands, rather than either one arm missing a hand, or both arms looking weird due to the extra bulk of the built-in weapons. Probably helps that I really like his Mechtech weapon too, lol.

I know, I did say I'm thinking about getting HftD Bumblebee. If there are other 'bees down the road I may get those.

Looks to me like they took out all the gimmicks, and used the parts budget for mehtech and a spoiler.

I don't think he has the battlemask, the arm cannon or the battleblade.

As far as I'm concerned, HFTD is still the definitive movie Bumblebee for the forseeable future.

On the plus side, I did like how, in addition to the obvious changes, they also made subtle changes to the DOTM deluxe in how the chest transforms.

Not necessarily an improvement, but it does add variety.

you get the option of removeing the mechtech weapon and putting it on another figure that could look cool with it. Granted bumblebee without any weapon at all is daft. But you can swap mechtech weapons around or even equip the human alliance basics in the weapon modes.

As far as bumblebees mechtech gun in particular. Its grey, has the round and wide barrel were used to from his energy cannon. And then the mechtech is that it flips up into miniguns.

I do like Optimus Prime's mechtech better. With the missiles that open up on top of the blaster.

I'm getting it because it will be the newest version of bee, with the dark of the moon spoiler. There will probably be other movie deluxe bumblebees though. Even direct repaints of this mold.

Agreed, this is the only movie Bumblebee that I own (besides the BK toy). I passed on all the others, but Battle Blade was good enough for me to finally buy one.

I was thinking about buying one and mixing the parts so I could specifically get rid of those giant arm gimicks and curling arms, plus swapping whatever else that works better. I think its a good change.

Aytch Eff Tee Dee Bee Bee Bee Bee is still the definative Movie Bumblebee toy for me. Until it's remoulded later on down the line when Mechtech is over and he keeps all his gimmickry but has DOTM accurate details. (hopefully)

Only two Mech Tech weapons look any decent, and that's Prime and Megatron. For me that is the biggest reason to avoid DOTM Bumblebee, as well as pretty much the rest of the mainline too.

I really like the gimmicks on HfTD Bee. It's the best compromise for giving you features of Bee at the deluxe size. I couldn't really ask for more. A blade, a gun, battle mask, light piping...it's just great.

Yeah, disappointing that the gimmick takes up so much of the budget, but I don't think it'll be a bad figure by any means.

Aren't you the one who's been asking if the HFTD Battle Hooks Prime will combine with Jetfire, because you missed ROTF Prime?
