I decided my movie Autobots needed a bit more muscle in the sky, so using the Skyhammer base and a couple of Shockwave's blades, I now have one more badass helicopter to take on the Decepticon seekers.

This was my first time attempting to do paneling, and I'm not sure my hand is steady enough to at the moment. It works, but there's a lot of room for improvement. I do like how it adds more detail to all of the white, as well as making it 'pop' a bit more. I tried to do some panel lines on the head, but for whatever reason, the ink wasn't taking to the plastic.

I'm hesitant to transform him, only because of the amount of rub I'm sure will happen. I'm giving him a dose of Future Finish to help cut back, and did some sanding... but I have a feeling it still won't be enough. If I get up the nerve to transform him, I'll add a few alt mode pictures.

I feel like he needs a gun, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what would be best. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As always, any comments/criticism are appreciated.

    Thanks for looking!

UPDATE: Alt-Mode pics on page 2

Thanks so much for the kind words! I really appreciate it!

Once the Future Finish finishes drying, I'll bite the bullet and get a few alt mode pictures up.

After repainting this mold too,i commend you on a job well done.I don't think anyting can be done about rub on this guy.His parts work to close together. Now,you need to do the rest of the team.

    Thank you all very much!

Holy crap, you're right! I can't believe it never hit me while I was working on this. Now, it almost feels like he would have been a better Jetfire than Blades (aside from the whole not being a jet part). Thanks for the compliment!

Thanks! Yeah, between the comments you made on your Vortex (very cool, by the way!) and what autobotx23 said about his experience with his Springer custom, I was a little hesitant to use the mold. I've done the future finish in batches, and what has finished so far (upper body) is moving pretty well without a lot of rub. The legs are what has me nervous though. Oh well... I'll find out soon enough :)  As for the rest of the team, I'll just have to see when inspiration hits me again to paint.

    First off...

A delayed "thank you", but still a very appreciative "thank you" to you :)

Secondly, I almost forgot about posting alt-mode pictures of this guy. Not sure if anyone still cares, but here they are, all the same. Apologies for the quick & dirty cell phone shots, but I think they still look pretty decent. Luckily, there really is very little rub. I'm not sure how I did it, but it's far less than I expected - hurray!

If Hasbro made this themselves, then I would definitely get this figure!

Looks great man. Has a Jetfire vibe to it. The panel lining really makes this one.
Why do people keep posting customs without the alt modes??

Edit- Oh, I see you did add them later.
