Post any images from DOTM that you want converted to 3D.
    I'll try my best.
I will add more pictures to this thread, so keep checking daily.

    NOTES:
    - These pictures DO NOT show how the 3D in DOTM is. To see DOTM's 3D, head over to a theater and watch it in 3D OR buy the Blu-ray 3D.
    - ABSOLUTELY DO NOT post pictures from the bootleg version of DOTM for me to convert.

    Anyway, I'll start off

Buster Witwicky, I saw your request, let's just say: I tried.

I remember a certain thread on the Movie Boards about Hi-res pictures.
Can anyone find the thread link to me?
    It'll be very appreciated. :)

2010 DOTM Teaser in 3D. Forgot to post it earlier.
Note that the audio is higher in pitch.

DOTM? What about any other film? I'm always down for 3D.

I might as well make a thread on the Non-TF Boards that's all about 3D.

Actualy, I was thinking of TF and ROTF.

    Maybe I'll give TF:TM 1986 a try sometime.

I have a few 3D images I made from TF and ROTF.
I made separate threads for them.

    TF- http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-fan-art/420226-transformers-1-2007-red-cyan-3d-images.html

    ROTF- http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-fan-art/420266-transformers-2-2009-red-cyan-3d-images.html

I am doing a project of converting the 1986 Movie to 3D, so I'll eventually make a thread about it.

Now, I've done Stereo 3D stuff of my own (normally from a 3D program like Truespace), and have freeware converters for creating a red/blue stereo image... but what is your process for creating stereo from a singular image?

    I don't use Automatic-Conversion Softwares.
I use GIMP, which is pretty much Photoshop with a few differences.
Let's say I'm converting this image
    [IMG]

First, I would get the image onto GIMP, duplicate it so there are 3 layers.
Usually, I flip them over and flip them back again so when you erase anything, you won't end up with a white background.

I edit each layer with each element.
    Layer 1- Shockwave
Layer 2- Buildings on the side
Layer 3- Building closest to the back with sky.
(I always have an extra layer of the normal image just in case)

To make the left-camera image, I would move Shockwave to the right. I would also move the buildings in Layer 2 to the right, but not as much. For Layer 3, I would move toward the left. Then, I stretch the layers from one side so I can fill in blanks.

Save, and there's your left image!
For the Right-Camera image, you'll move the layers back to the center, and then to the opposite way they were moved when making the left image.
Save that, and there's your Right Image!

For combining them together, I use "StereoPhotoMaker", which can be found here: StereoPhoto Maker (English) (It's free, and you'll need to extract the ZIP Folder it's in)
Then....Open Program>File>Open Left/Right Images>(Choose the Left and Right images you made).

Here, using my 3D Bumblebee Image as an example, you'll get this when you open the images
    [IMG]

On the toolbar, you'll see a button with a bunch of random colors. That's the analygraph option, so you can view the image with Red/Cyan glasses, so click on that. You'll see something like this
    [IMG]

If you want a Cross-eye 3D Image, go to...Stereo>Adjusment View.
You'll get the two views side by side, with an image of them together in clear 3D under them.

To save as Analygraph..(Set Color Analygraph on)>File>Save as Stereo Image.

    To save as a Cross-eye 3D Image..(Set Adjustment View on)>File>Save Stereo Image.

NOTE that if you need to swap the left and right images so the 3D can work, click on the Swap Left/Right Option, which has a red/blue rectangle with arrows around it.

As for my project of converting TF: The Movie (1986) to 3D, I'm using Sony Vegas. It's kinda like the process for creating a 3D image, but I'll explain it in detail later when I'm ready.

I have Stereo Photo Maker. It's wonderfull. I have also used Anaglyph Maker. I've swapped back and forth, depending on the image.

I like your technique. Surprised I didn't think of it myself. I'll have to give it a try. Thanks for the info.

For the first, third, an fourth pictures, I will find larger sizes of those by taking screenshots from the TV Spots and the Dubstep trailer.

After Effects has a pretty slick method for making stereo 3D our of video or screenshots. It takes some work, but the results are pretty awesome.
