    I dread to think. With the recent departures from the show, and now the one mentioned in the article, my interest in Smallville is dropping fast.

    Doomsday... Meh, saw that coming a mile away. No doubt they'll be some death involved... Then maybe they can get rid of this version of Green Arrow as well.

    I await the reaction of my girlfriend over Rosenbaum's departure with dread... ^^;

    So with both Luthors gone, that takes the grand total of interesting characters and people with any actual acting ability down to zero.

    Hey, if you gotta jump the shark (I HATE that expression), Doomsday's not a bad way to do it.

    I'd rather see Darkseid, though.

    Why not just add the wonder twins and be done with it?

    I should imagine that a Smallville version of Darkseid would make Kirby roll in his grave so much that it'd disturb the Earth's magnetic field.

    I'm a fan of the show and even im wondering about Doomsday, if they have the budget to do it right then fantastic but seeing as how they don't have the budget of say a motion picture well I dunno...unless they bring in some real monster of a body builder or someone from UFC, TNA, or the WWE and bring in a REALLY good makeup artist it may work and as far as the female villian for next season im at a loss as to whom it may be hopefully with the revamping of the behind the scenes staff aswell we will be in for a pleasent suprise just have to wait till then.

    This show jumped the shark eons ago. He should have flown, gone on his fortress vacation or put on the suit a season or two ago.

    If the show transitioned into Superman, then it would be a nice new breath, but since it would be so effect heavy, I wonder if it would be possible. They did it with Louis and Clark ><

    I read an artical in TV Guide about this like 4 years ago and it said that they had no intention of letting Clark Fly or Dawn his Blue Suit. Also it said we will see the true darkness of Lex.

    This show is only *based* on the classic Superman mythology. It takes ideas from it and does it's own thing since the 1st season. The Smallville TV universe is separate and different from the comic book universe. So you can't say the show has ever jumped the shark, when it never claimed to be cookie cutter to the comics in the first place.
