lolz!!!! mullet joke, mullet ---> nascar lol!!!1!!!!!!111!

Seriously though, I get that the film supposed to be entertainment, but like I said before, simply because its entertainment doesnt mean it cant have a bit of intelligence behind it.. I mean, this movie just lowered the bar on what mindless entertainment could be, this movie is just TOO stupid.. waaay too stupid. Unfunny jokes here and there, sam and mikaela running in slow motion too many times, unnecessary characters taking up screentime (I mean seriously, wtf was the point of sam's roomate being in the movie? and dont get me started with the parents)

If I want to see cheesy mindless entertainment, then I'd rather see something like the Jurrassic Park sequels... its stupid, but least that was the intention. ROTF is just.... just.... I ran out of words to describe it, but like I said before, it lowered the bar on what a stupid, cheesy, "turn your brain off" summer blockbuster could be... its just WAAAY too stupid.

I don't get the whole 'unfunny jokes' thing - low brow for sure, but the entire (packed) cinema laughed at all of them (except for the orange smoke.. only I laughed at that for some reason).

Blackout in Cali. When nothing worked people were outside doing "wut? the picture box not work now."

It wasn't a big portion of the plot, but they could've had mentions, film clips. Maybe police cars charging down a road or something to a potential riot. Instead, we get goats -V-

Word. It's ridiculous to hear people saying stuff like 'ROTF sucks because my favorite character doesn't have enough screentime' and trying to pull it as a valid argument to bash the movie. I wonder if these people were actually paying attention to the movie or if they're were just too busy looking for their favorite character, or watching the way the screw on Prime's ass moves all the way into his helmet while he transforms, just so he can show up in this forum and say 'OMG IT SUXXORZ IT TRANSFORMS DIFFERENTLY IN THE OTHER SCENE'.

How in the HELL can the 1st movie be BETTER than ROTF? The 1st movie was all about 'we came from Cybertron, yadda yadda yadda' and Allspark this, Allspark that, Sam kills Megatron with the Allspark.

The movie was AWESOME, way better than the first, That IS the Soundwave voice before it's processed. I knew while I was watching it last night that there was going to be nit-picking about every little thing. Some people will never like ANYTHING unless they do a frame-by-frame remake of "More than meets the eye" complete with raising dead voice actors from the grave and then people will still find something wrong with it

Or, y'know, you could just not really like the movie that much because you didn't think it was very good. Yes, I'm a bit upset that my anticipated characters (Sideswipe and the bike sisters) didn't get an awful lot of screen time, but there are worse things wrong with the film, in my opinion, than that.

I don't get all the "If you don't think it was great, you're WRONG" 'tude.

If dogs humping, robots humping, and Devasator Testicles ring your bell, more power to you. I didn't care for them. The whole theater laughed. I just rolled my eyes. Doesn't make me WRONG, just outnumbered.
If you loved it, awesome. Buy the toys, buy the Blu-Ray. Me, I was hoping for something more developed.

Me and a friend discussed this, and we decided that they TRIED to put in a reasoning for the story, but ended up botching it. I remember the theme of the movie being mentioned as "being away from home", which I didn't feel at all.

The closest thing I can imagine is the part at the end where Prime sends out a message to remind all those of the history between Earth and Cybertron: something, possibly, about remembering your past and ancestry. The entire Cybertronian history being contained in the Allspark rather than being actually remembered seemed to allude to that. It's never really elaborated on at all, though.

    This.

It makes us look bad as supporters of the TF franchise. Transformers are bad ass robot warriors that kick the living slag out of eachother, why are we focused on a kid in college?

And the "it's just a toy commercial" is getting old. I like to read the comic books and the novels, I need something more stimulating than asplosions and dog humping to sell me over :mad

I agree with all your points. There's a lot of haters here trying to change my opinion of the movie, but I keep my opinion the same as when I walked out. The humor was too over the top, I agree, but they'll probably reduce it back to a TF level for TF3 (if there is one soon.)

Lot's of people saying that the Constructi-clones are weird need to realize that it might be weird for a bit at first, but you can quickly tune in that they are seperate bots from the ones that make up Devs, they just look the same. This may be why the Supreme Devs toy only has the vehicle modes (since we don't see the robot modes), or it could be a way to bring back Devs in TF3. The continuity errors seem nonexistant if you use imagination and pay attention.

As I posted on my blog, this film had the misfortune of being second in the franchise and I think alot of people set their expectations way too high. Still, I don't see how anyone who enjoyed the first one cannot say the same, or more, about this one.

The only people who enjoy homogeny of thought and stifle discourse are political extremists and pundits. Most of us come to TFW because we enjoy discussion, not just to only hang out with people who agree with us.

You're also confusing "flaming" with critique. Not liking something is not the same as flaming.

There are people who are determined to change your mind? I find that hard to believe.

People discussing problems they had with the movie aren't trying to "change your opinion" any more than you're trying to change theirs by saying you liked it. It's a discussion forum.

If you liked the movie, great! I have to admit to being kind of jealous. I strongly desire to like the movie more, and I feel disappointed.

Dude from what you've been saying it's almost like you enjoyed the fact that yet again all the humans get even more screentime, even more pointless scenes, Alice the pretender?? Sam's mom on
    Pot?

Why not show some scenes with Ironhide, Ratchet or Sideswipe?? Hell why not show some transformations of those Autobots, they were practically in robot mode the entire movie.

You cannot tell me that you thought that this movie had just enough of everything, there were too many useless scenes ( sam's dogs fucking, the repeated military command base banter, useless characters ( Sam's roommate!!! ) If they cut out all that nonsense and actually put some more focus on oh I don't know THE AUTOBOTS it would have went from an okay film to a great film.
Think of how much better the first movie would have been, if none of that hacker bullshit was included.

Michael Bay needs to learn how to edit and slims down. The movie is about Transformers so how about focusing on them a little bit more?

I agree, but I think that the characters lacked the heart that the characters in the first film had and the humor occassionaly went a bit too far.

I'd use this the sum up the movie, "More doesn't mean better in most cases"

EDIT: Not to mention that the hype for this was at godzilla-sized levels
