Don't laugh, but...did anyone get Vehicle Voltron on disc last week?

I ordered it on amazon because no stores seemed to get it. And everyone laughs at me because it's Vehicle Voltron. :(

Really, the main reason I want it, is because I haven't seen it since it was on when I was a kid. Like since 1986 or whenever the last time it aired was. I hear it's pretty good if you watch a good bit of it.

I bought the Go Lion DVD releases recently and was going to wait for the Dairugger (original Vehicle Voltron) DVD's also being released by Central Park Media, but who knows when that will be.

I didnt even know that it was on DVD. Every time I bring up that Voltron, no one has heard of him. I used to have a vehicle Voltron toy, how much was the DVD and how many episodes?

I have no interest in the DVD's, same with the Lions, but I had the vehicle Voltron as a kid, and it was BADASS.

    I'd kill for a reissue/re-release :(

The DVD is 27.99 on Amazon, I think it's the first 12 episodes. I'd love a reissued toy myself.

It's been delayed. Voltron collection 6 will be coming out Dec. 9th, the date that was originally slated for collection 7 which in turn will also be delayed. Also, this is being released by Media Blasters, not Central Park Media. CPM folded several years ago.

    :lolol

Sorry...I have been forever ruined by Robot Chicken's parody of the vehicle Voltron.

I will only accept the Lions as Voltron. Besides, I have transformer gestalts to fullfill my vehicle combiner needs.

Good to know some people enjoyed it though.

Where did you read that? Amazon still had Sept 30th listed when I ordered it, it said it would ship within a week or so.

Edit: I just looked at tvshowsondvd and they now say Dec 23rd. WTF??

I'm always amazed that people never remember vehicle Voltron (Voltron 1). It's not like poor Voltron 2 (three smaller robots) who's episodes never aired.

"We come at the speed of justice !" :D

Anyway glad that you have it, I was actually confused when out of sudden my local TV aired the vehicle version instead of continuing the lion version.

I didn't know it was on dvd. I've still got my vehicle voltron. It blows the lion voltron away as a toy.

I have very vague memories of vehicle Voltron. Mostly the merge sequence (they just fall on each other, awesome), the forming of the (badass looking) sword, and the three super vehciles. In terms of mecha, I'd say the Vehicle Voltron is superior.

I also remember loving it just as much if not more than Lion. I plan to at least get the first set, just to see if the story and characters are as good as I enjoyed. I'd also like to see how they tie the two together.

    I didn't laugh.

    I liked vehicle Voltron.
I liked the way the two Spinning Laser Blades would form the Blazing Sword.

As a kid I seem to remember that I saw vehicle Voltron for months before Lion Voltron made an appearance. Vehicle Voltron seemed to just start right in the middle of things but Lion Voltron definitely started at the first episode.

I also remember that it seemed odd to me that the vehicle Voltron force was looking for planets to help ease the burden on a "desperately overpopulated" Earth, but the Lion Voltron Force was always journeying to planets that were unpopulated or sparsely populated. Most planets in Lion Voltron seemed to have a few villages in the woods as their main urban centers. It seemed to me that there was room on those worlds for the people of Earth.

I just recently got the Masterpiece Voltron lion set.
I would love a vehicle one.

I also just bought the Masterpiece Voltron, the plastic one, but it's still quite a nice, sturdy figure.
