    Dude, I'm checking it out.

It's fucken FLASH GORDON! I saw some stuff on him, but what I remeber the most was a cartoon called Defenders of the Earth (I think) which featured him and Phantom.

I remember that cartoon. It was awsome, and the Rotoscoping on the ships looked so good that it almost seemed like CG. I'm assuming it was rotoscope.

I know SciFi wouldn't dare, but I wish they had an itteration (if not the actual) of the Queen song. That would be like Dare being in the new TF movie.

*crosses fingers for something resembling the movie theme*

Yeah me too, though I am dissapointed that the DVD doesn't come with nearly the things that the PAL version does... I mean come on, commentary with Brian Blessed (Hawk People Leader). That would have been awsome. So if you guys have a PAL DVD player, you're better off with that version.

Still though, it's nice to finally have Gordon back.

I heard a commercial for this on the radio today, and they kept mentioning the Queen theme so I'm pretty sure something similar will be on the new show.

    Spoilers.

Yeah, they have a version of the old Queen 'Flash' theme, updated by a different band.

Too bad I've got the feeling that this is gonna suck donkey-dick.

I hear they made Ming into some fat middle-aged blonde haired guy that is a benevolent ruler.

And that the Hawkmen don't fly or have wings. They just worship birds.

Unlike their movies Sci-fi actually does have some pretty decent original programing so I'm going to reserve my judgement until after I see it.

I thought it was pretty good. Kind of neat that they're going back and forth between worlds. Usually they just stay on Mongo.
