Interesting, I wonder if they are changing things on the fly due to fan reaction?

I'm glad Mr. Murphy was treated well... he seems to have formed a poor opinion of fandom based on his online experiences, so maybe he'll have a better view of us now. :thumb

The info from Murphy sounds terrific and seems to support the theories in that interview with Michael Bay we saw a bit earlier.

The Michael McConnohie comments disappoint me, as they seem deliberately spoken to enable the GEEWUN foot-stampers we've been trying so hard to settle down since this whole thing started.

I look forward to the new hotness and will no doubt infuriate my wife by making her go with me to multiple screenings.

Good info, but man... it sounds like some people are just waaaaaay too attached to G1 forms. From the sound of it, the room was filled with people who wouldn't even buy Alt Tracks because he's not the same model of Corvette.

This news makes me very happy. I like the fact that Don and Mike want to see BB as a Volkswagon.

HOLY COW YES!! I AM SO EXCITED! :rock  I was sooo incredibly pissed when people began to mention bumblebee as a f*cking Camaro, I mean they are hot cars but its not bumblebee. So this is definitely good news here with teh VW. Soundwave I could care less I always hated Soundwave that uncharismatic boar. :D  Original voices YAY! not that big of a deal if it isn't done though.

Interesting, I just hope there aren't too many fan boy finger prints on this film.

I doubt he will actually be a VW. Volkswagon has come out and said that they don't want their vehicles depicted as war toys. BB was one of the first Alts designed, but didn't get completed because of VW's refusal. If the rumors of him being a beat up 70's car come true...let him be a (wait for it) AMC Pacer or a Gremlin! Let's go the really hideous route!

Don Murphy said that VW WAS interested in the movie.

But some of the Dreamworks execs refuse to make him a VW because they are afraid that people would consider the movie a "Herbie" rip-off.

Thanks for the various reports Nevermore. It's always interesting how people can be at the same panel and interpret things differently.

You know, I'm starting to get a little excited about this. Maybe I'm growing up a little and realize not everything has to be a straight up redeux of G1, but it sounds like there's goos stuff happening here. Scorponok may not be the most prominent G1 figure, but kids today might recognize him from the Energon series, and possisbly remember seeing his toy on the shelves and get into the movie a bit more. Plus, I think the Spider-Man and X-Men movies were phenominal (not perfect, but for a sci-fi movie based off a comic book they were incredible), and they, especially X-Men, weren't even close to the original product. I think this may turn out for the best yet!
