Don has indeed earned a break.
Hopefully he'll be back again someday.
Don, you are truly an inspiration. Your genuine love and care for the brand is unmatched. That combined with your uncanny artistic gifts has made you a great contributer to the TransFormers. Thanks for what you've done so far, I have really enjoyed it all. You never know what the future might bring.
I found this part particularly interesting, "not doing much TF stuff" sadness aside.
Thanks for hangin' out with us from time to time
It sucks though that he'll be one of the few people to get WW Grimlock. I was looking forward to that figure - maybe Hasbro will make it an exclusive at SDCC or something.
Oh, well, if he wants to try other things then its ok. Who are we to stop him. Besides its not that he is leaving Tf forever. Still, I'll miss his art, he is a true inspiration for most fan artist.^^
Don did some amazing work and was very approachable and humble. Keep in touch my man.
I thought Hasbro said that WW Grimlock was eventually going to be released as a store exclusive. Maybe I was hearing things. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
Ryall actually revealed that Don was off TF comics a few weeks ago on the IDW boards.
does neone have a link to the custom gestalt he made?
That Scarface piece would be the tightest Tee shirt ever!
Don was my favorite TF artist over the years, sad hes not workin for IDW. I dont like the current look of their books.
I'm sure he's interested in using his creativity in other ways than on Transformers, and as great an artist as he is, he'll certainly be able to find work. Though it's sad if he'll really be slipping from Transformers, I'm sure we'll still be able to enjoy his work.
Wishin you the best Don, and thanks again for the interview
Bummed that he's moved on from TF's, but I'll happily check out whatever he does next.
I sincerely doubt that hes permanently out. Circumstances change, things come up, etc. I'm sure he'll do some stuff in the future.
I am very happy for Don. It makes me sad not to get a monthly fix of his stuff but I totally understand. I can live with a few pieces of his art a year on TF and I will definatley check out his own projects. Best wishes!
A sad day for TF art, but best of luck to Don in the future. His influence will be felt in TF design and art for years to come. I'm looking forward to seeing him branch out into other areas.
I remember being excited when Don announced he'd be an artist for Transformers. Now I'm equally saddened that he'll no longer be drawing TF books.
Good luck to all your other projects Don!
It was a good ride while it lasted
Your work will be sorely missed Don......I can still remember years ago stumbling across "Macromasters" through Unicron.com and have been hooked at your work ever since. You can count me as a supporter of your future works! =)
I'm bummed that he's not doing TF anymore, but I wish him all the best for the future. Good luck, Don!
Don, thanks for all of your contributions to the TF community over the years, from Macromasters to published comics to Hasbro toys to this interview. We've truly been blessed by your talent.
. . . and when you finish that custom, I hope we see it in the Radicons forum!
Best of wishes for your future!
Also, great work on the interview guys! Keep TFW2005 #1! W00T!
