does WINGS OF HONOR magnum become soundwave?

    When it comes to the fact that the wings of honor story continuity serves as a background prequel continuity of the orginal 80's animated Generation 1 continuity I got a question.


    Does the Autobot Magnum go on to become the Decepticon Soundwave over time?

    Maybe it's just me but Magnum happens to have a very clearly G1 Animated accurate Soundwave colorscheme to his person

    from the looks of it the guy practically stole Soundwaves colorscheme whole sale if you ask me

    i think he does become Soundwave over time

    That issue was never resolved. Who Dion becomes is always a mystery, a lot of people think he becomes Ironhide.

    Magnum obviously becomes Ultra Magnus. The color scheme is identical to Magnus, dunno how you see Soundwave in that, other than the "chest window".

    Hasbro officially confirmed that Dion died and was never rebuilt into anyone else.

    Fun Publications stated that "Dion is Dion", at least in their fiction at last Botcon. The most recent comic even shows Ironhide with Optimus Prime, I think.

    Magnum is very much Ultra Magnus, or another of his line. I expect he'll be offed in spectacular fashion down the road.

    Officially, no. I just found out the other day that Hasbro says that Dion died in "War Dawn".

    Really I found there charicters to be very different, Ultra Magnus seemed to be more of a squad leader, happiest in the field, Magnum just seems to like to push buttons from behind his desk.

    IIRC, he seems to be inspired by a generic background robot design seen in Season 3.
