Transformers Prime premiered in late November of 2010. So I assumed that's when the kids discovered the bots. However, Fowler revealed in the episode, Crisscross, that it had only been a few months since the kids discovered the bots. Crisscross premiered on June 25th. Well that's 7 months, not a few. So did the kids discover the bots in late November of 2010 or late March of 2011? Or could it be that because production was slower than expected, that the kids discovered the bots in November of 2010 and that it's only suppose to be March or April when M.E.C.H. kidnaps June Darby. It was stated in the 5premier episodes that Prime and his crew came to Earth 3 years ago. So I assumed it was probably around October or November of 1997. However, if the kids didn't discover the bots until 2011, then the time they came to Earth would be around March or April of 2008. Just curious. This would be a good question to ask Hasbro.
Why tie it down to a date? G1 makes itself feel dated with its pronouncement at the beginning of the series and again in the animated movie. I think of Transformers: Prime as a show which has a story taking place today, not today per se, but some time now or the very near future.
