I occasionally see some people asking if "Does this movie toy feature the Chevy symbol?" So I was curious if it bothers anyone when Hasbro/Takara leaves it out of the mold for certain characters. Granted, sometimes they can't always add the symbols, as with ROTF Sideways. But when the designers have the ability to do so, and don't, does that annoy anyone?

Personally, it does tend to bug me on occasion. One instance that gets me is ROTF Mixmaster and DOTM Megatron. Both of them are Mack trucks, but only Megatron sports the Bulldog hood ornament whereas Mixmaster just has this raised rectangle or whatever. It disappoints me because in the film, Mixmaster had a unique hood ornament which replaced the Bulldog's head with the Decepticon emblem, and I thought that was simply badass. As if the giant logos on the cement mixer weren't enough, right?

There are toys now that have the same issue. DOTM Soundwave has the Mercedes-Benz emblem on his grill, but Wheeljack only has a silver dot on the hood. I find thata bit funny too because foreign car makers didn't want "evil characters" sporting their logos. But then we end up with toys where the bad guy does have the Mercedes logo, and the good guy does not. I would have appreciated some consistency when it came to these logos, especially if Hasbro and Michael Bay had permission to use these vehicles within the films.

Don't really care; it's a minor thing that (rarely) impacts the overall design of the toy, in either mode.

Though I do like the 'vette logo on the Sideswipe molds.

It's cool if they have them, but I wouldn't care or notice if they didn't.

no, its a Transformer not a scale replica, only Transformers anyone should expect the automaker's emblems on are Alternators/Binaltech.

It's not something that bothers me enough to complain if it's not present, but given a preference I'd prefer the logos to be there as long as they're on the vehicle in the fiction. Though it would've been only a minor detail on the Voyager mold, I would've loved the Decepticon hood thing to have been on Mixmaster.

A draw for me to Transformer toys is that the alt modes are authentic disguises. Having the alt modes as accurate as possible is important to me.

    For a deluxe, no.

For a Human Alliance, maybe a little bit.

Alternators or something meant to be a replica, it would.

It's a plus if it has it, but I don't really care if it doesn't.

I forgot to add that the only time I'm not so concerned is when there is a licensing issue. However, that still doesn't make me want to keep the toy as is. There's always an option of adding to a cool toy.

If it's supposed to be an accurate real-world car, then slap a logo on it.

No. If a licensed vehicle TF has the company logo, I think this: "Hey, that's nice!" but if it doesn't have it and it's still licensed, I don't care really.

It does really matter to me because I love the Live-Action Films, so I really like accuracy in my figures, and that includes emblems for me.

No. There are SO many other things to worry about than paint and miniscule details toys.
