Holy crap! Throw it in a volcano quick!
Reminds me of Sun Wukong's head band thing.
Did anyone else click on this thinking the OP had a Green Lantern ring?
yep, was waiting for it.
as for the original question.. I dunno try asking some jewlers or on a historical or art type website.
Look's like a fancy 2.
Also raises hand.
I was a bit disappointed when it was a GL ring, but it just looks like a fancy symbol.
It looks like a Celtic symbol of balance. I could be wrong though.
Look up Celtic designs and symbols. It most likely doesn't actually mean anything.
what the... That isn't the Green Lantern ring!
and the symbols looks familiar but i don't know what it means. sorry.
It's a screenshot from the Snake arcade game, engraved on a ring.
no idea what it means but it must be returned to the fires of wal-mart from whence it came! the only place it can be destroyed!"
that's called a greek key. oh.. I'm an uh.. art person.
Throw it in a fire. If it's cool to the touch and writing appears on the inside, seal it in an envelop and never speak of it again.
It's a celtic symbol but the meaning is theory at best. One speculation is it's the symbol of the equinox, when night and day are balanced since the spiral was used to represent the sun. It would appear on either side of larger spiral engravings on amulets. In the Bronze Age it was used to decorate just about everything, and in ancient Greece it would also be used to represent water.
