I have the pair of Laser cycles from G2 and both have had their electronics severed (they were broken, in the way, and I was too young to care about fixing them) and I'm looking at purchasing some new versions of both. I obviously want the light gimmick to still work. If I get a MOSC version are the electronics likely to be in working order?

The batteries might need to be replaced, but I've got some of the cycles and cars whose electronics still work.

The ones who don't are probably just out of power. I've never tried changing the batteries.
I got a carded Hot Rod Laser Rod (think he was called Jolt in the US), and he has worked great since the day I got him. Great little series of Autobots, that subset.

Agreed, all four of my original Laser Rods still work, and I haven;t even had to change the batteries. I need to fiddle with them more often, they're awesome toys.

you could get the recolored ones from RiD or Robotmasters instead. Being newer, they're likely to last longer

My G2 Road Rocket still works and it's got its original batteries.

I found a Jolt in storage a while back and I'm pretty sure the only reason the light doesn't work is because it needs batteries.
