Any difference between Takara's and THESE ones? http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-Heroes-Cybertron-Keychain-Figures/dp/B000MVTULW/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/105-9813603-9502843?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1174682667&sr=8-1
The cool thing with those is the keychain itself can be removed, leaving you with a perfectly good Minibot reissue. I finally got myself Cliffjumper that way.
The only flaw to these keychain reissues are the age and frequent use of the molds. Comparing the originals to the new reveals a severe dulling of all parts on the toys. Each piece is rounded off in every place. These molds are really showing thier degradation.
I've actually got my little Bumblebee that way... I removed the chain from his rear bumper, dremeled the little plastic hoop off, and used a black permanent marker on the bumper to make it solid black... Outside of that, you wouldn't notice that he's a reissue (unless you look closely, like Death333 commented above).
Walmart sells them as well as Hot Topic. However Walmart is better as they are only 2.99 each wheras Hot Topic wants 6.99 each. I too have all four.
Hasen't walmart gone through two phases of these so far...or was the first wave with the TRU reissues years back...? Either way I'm not seeing them currently anymore in my local walmarts...they need to come out with other mini TF keychains...Huffer, Cosmos, Seaspray, etc...
The minibot set that Takara released in the Transformers Collection was supposed to be the next wave of keychains before Fun4All decided to up and die.
