Just like the title says....does ROTF Deluxe Dirge fit in with the Universe Classics Seekers? For some reason, I think he does......especially his alt mode.

What do you think? Does he fit in with the Classics Seekers? Am I wrong for thinking that he does?

Also, Please post some pics of Dirge with the Universe Classics Seekers in both 'Bot and Alt Modes. THANKS for posting!!

I voted no because his bot mode doesn't fit in with the Classics. Hit alt mode though, I think definitely has some appeal.

You should add a "maybe" vote to the poll because I'd keep Dirge in his alt mode if I displayed him with the seekers.

Alt. mode or not, I'm going with an easy "No."

How is the figure going to fit in with a group that all have a similar body style? RotF Dirge is EASILY going to stick out of the crowd.

I think he fits in with the classics aesthetic about as much as Bludgeon.

In other words, sorta, but not quite.

But in with the other seekers which are all the same basic mold, he's gonna stick out.

The transformation, shoulder foil fins, and cockpit (snort...I said cockpit) motif all screams classics, however, the head sculpt, hands, and chest do not.

He can. He and Thrust both actually. They look less alien than the onscreen movie characters, something they share with ROTF voyager Bludgeon, in fact, they look less alien than he does.

I especially see them fitting in with Universe/Classics 2.0 figures, as those had more "meched out" parts.

I think he does.. sort of. I mean the altmode does. The head is just to movie verse to fit.

Too much of a movie aesthetic, so I voted no. He just look out of place.

I'd say no, but if it works for you then go for it man!

I would do it in this order

    1. Botcon/Henkei
    2. Voyager Cybertron repaint (the 2 pack w/ Roadbuster)
    3. Rotf Dirge (hell, at least he's rockin the color scheme)

I think he and my slightly modded ROTF Thurst will be added to my Classics Seekers. Just wish I had some sort of Deluxe sized Thundercracker better than my 6" Titanium WW Thundercracker to fill in.

Do I think he fits? He fits as well as ROTF Thrust does. It's all a matter of opinion. The bot modes have a very different style, but between Classics and Universe 2.0, there's also a different style, so I can personally accept it. I can see how some people might not like it.

Examples: universe 2.0 Hound seems to borrow a bit of style from Animated. Universe 2.0 Galvatron shares a lot of detailing... err... details similar to movie designs. Both are slightly different from Classics 1.0. Even toys like Prowl (and repaints) and Sunstreaker (and Sideswipe) have a different style than, say, Classics Hot Rod, Bumblebee, Mirage.

I think there's enough variety in the Classics lineup that Dirge can be included. But not everyone's going to agree with that.

Everyone has their own opinion. I say no. His face is way too weird. But the wings on the ankle sections are cool as well as the air intakes on top of the shoulders.

I personally think his alt mode would fit in better with animated. For some reason it just strikes me as more of an animated alt mode.
