I didnt cried. I dont think I even cared. I like Rodimus and Galvatron more. It wasnt until I got into my teens that I actually liked Optimus and Megatron as characters. Rodimus and Galvatron were always my fav leaders. I knew it meant something but I wasnt attached. Now I watch it, be like damn... PEACE OPTIMUS! Bring on Roddy and crazy Galvatron!

It's a very moving scene in the movie both when I saw it as a kid and now watching it again. I cried as a kid and the last time I watched it I admit that I still cried.

I never cried, but was very upset in the theatre. Now its a sad scene to watch, but I don't cry, but it does make me remember how I felt the first time.

    If we're talking about G1 yes. Live-Action? I laughed.

I teared up for a bit when I first saw G1 Prime die, even when I read ahead of time that he comes back to life on wikipedia...

I was SO upset in the movie theater watching Revenge of the Fallen when I saw Prime "die"! I distinctly hear one person saying, "oh man, Megatron really killed Prime!" and I said, "Oh, good grief, you've got to be kidding me! Not again! Argh."

    HELL NO.

My reaction whenever I see Prime dying in any fiction is "F**k yeah".

What's the point of crying? We know he always comes back to life? Right?

It doesn't make me cry. But it does sadden me that it signifies the end of the first two seasons of Transformers.

It is just the mood and overall execution that is kinda heart wrenching.

And like what other have said, it like watching a father figure die for those that may have experienced a similar real life experience.

I sometimes get teary eyed still, depending on how tired I am. The more tired I am, the more emotional I seem to get and will even start to get teared up over Hallmark commercials.

Cried alot while playing "Lost Odyssey" as well. Those stories you find are just plain sad.

No, thought I guess it didn't make me cry back then either.

    Nothing really makes me cry.

    My heart is dead inside...

Once I grew up and understood the actual reason he and a lot of others died, no. Not really. As a whelp, I did cry at the time.

Holy crap. Zombie thread from 2010.

Nope, not even as a kid. Dinobot's death is still heart-wrenching, though.

Not when I was 7 back in 1986, and Season 3 hasn't aired yet.

When Dinobot died, I cried only the first time...
When AOE Ratchet died, I cried only the first time...
When Animated Prowl died, I...didn't cry. Huh.
When Armada Optimus died, I shed a tear or two.
When MTMTE Rewind died, I shed a tear or two, then shed many more the next issue.
When Cybertron Vector Prime died, I didn't really care.
When Victory Ginrai died, I was just waiting for Jan to shit up and to see Victory Leo.

When Armada Starscream died, I cry every.single.time.
When G1 Starscream died, I laughed my ass off.

    I'm a weird person.
