None of the ones by me do....kinda a bummer too....
Not mine either, I wish though, they are so much closer than my hobby store that never has any in stock. = (
They don't in AZ, Oakland, San Francisco, Savannah, GA, the Tidewater area of Virginia, St. Louis, or Carbondale, IL... bastards!
I have a super-sized Michaels here and the closest they sell is thick sheets of acetone, which is clear, but will work if you had to use it.
Hobby shop near me has 3 carousels of styrene. expensive too.
Hobbytown USA as well as a host of other hobby shops carry it.
If you just want plain styrene, look to see if you have any plastic dealers in town. You can get 4'x8' sheets for a fraction of what you pay at hobby shops.
You could also use yard sale signs from your Lowes or HD. But they tend to be thin.
good call Boggs. Sign shops will even have styrene - most sign shops buy their plastic locally. a 4x8 sheet of styrene costs about $30...
Also: Might try looking for RC car/plane hobby stores, or Train modeling stores... They usually have it too.
I actually bought mine off of eBay for much cheaper (even with shipping included) than if I went to my local hobby store.
There are like no known hobby shops in my area. Also, the Michaels in my area, as far I know doesn't carry styrene either.
The Micheals in my area does. It's clear and 2 8 x 10 sheets per package. Just ask for cutable plastic :-D
i work at michaels and no thats not something we carry
I think I put this link out there somewhere before but this is where I buy stuff when I need it. http://www.estreetplastics.com/ All kinds of great stuff to use, even bought my sheet of black Plexiglas for my pictures their.
Aside from the internetz, I have no access to styrene and we have a Michael's.
