Bored and haven't posted here in a while, figure I would.

Do you think Jetfire switches sides in TF2?

I Personally think he will be the pivotal charactor in the movie...the whole story revolves around why he is here on earth...

he'll come, be amazed by humanity and won't agree with putting them in danger, at the pivotal point will change sides and give the Autobots the support they need and help them win the day.

    That's my guess anyway.

I voted for pudding. Because I don't give a shit what Bay does with the characters I didn't grow up with. And I like pudding.

I'd consider it unlikely, as that would actually mean there'd be an Autobot that isn't half the size of an average Decepticon and we can't have any of that XD

When I found out that Jetfire will have the shark face look, I started to have second thoughts about him switching sides. But I could be wrong.

I'd say it would be a waste of a potential great plot point and the name "Jetfire" if he doesn't switch sides.

I would say yes. In war, there is no good or evil. There are total bastards on either side and there are sympathetic characters on either side. What I am saying is, let's have a sympathetic Decepticon who doubts Megatron and the other's totalitarian domination, but instead believes in the principles of the Decepticon way. A character who embodies the best of what the Decepticons could potentially be.

So rather than outright switch sides, like in G1, he could actually do something far more interesting, and stay Decepticon - going his own way in the finale, promising they meet again and hoping it may be under better circumstances, and not abandoning his allegiance - but when it comes down to it, he does the right thing and acts for the greater good. I think that would make for a great bit of characterisation not just for Jetfire, but for all the Decepticons, because it lets you see what the appeal behind choosing their side is and why there might be other "honorable enemies" out there.

Thats an awesome idea. It could go along with the whole loyalist and separatist Decepticons e.g. Those loyal to Megatron and those loyal to SS.

Yes. I can't see Optimus Prime combining with a Decepticon, unless something like the ending of Armada happens. Even then it's still a bit of a long shot.
