something along the lines that the sweeps were starting to replace the seekers as a whole for the decepticon army. I remember reading that somewhere but I cannot for the life of remember where. I really believe it was on one of the cards for one of the toys but I can't find anywhere where the card backs are available for viewing. I am pretty sure that this was real and not something fanmade, I want to say it was mentioned on one of the Starscream (Classics or Universe) bios but don't have them anymore. Any help would be great.
I seriously doubt is from any G1 bio. The term "seekers" was originally fan made and wasnt used officially till Dreamwave comics.
Yeah it was definitely on a toy bio around the Dreamwave era, now I am not sure that the term Seeker was actually used. I just used it myself. I really think it was in reference to either Universe or Classics Starscream or something from a couple of years ago, and I don't remember it being online.
That kind of confirmed what I said The depatment store catalog are not "official" "in 2002 Simon Furman used "Seeker" in a Dreamwave comic script, which sealed the deal of officiality and set the tone not just for the fandom, but for the Transformers fiction that came afterwards as well."
Considering its something about "sweeps replacing seekers", the only bio it could even possibly be is Titanium Scourge. And considering that Titanium Scourge has nothing written on it about seekers, I think the OP is confusing a fanon bio with something official. I have a hard time believing that any Starscream bio (or any bio that isn't Scourge's) would even mention "sweeps".
I know I read in print somewhere, now it's just bugging me. The reason I insist that its not fan made is because I wasn't really part of the online fandom until sometime after the first live action movie. Hmm. I don't know, maybe I'm confusing what was mentioned. I just figured if it existed you guys would know about it, I guess it might not. Well thanks anyway.
Yes, but there's a strong indication that the term has been handed out from Hasbro at one point. Which means there might be other instances where the name appears that just haven't been rediscovered yet.
It was not part of "mainstream" fiction. But it was apparently at one point considered as a fictional term that was ultimately abandoned. So it might have been used somewhere.
