What the title says, I don't want TF4 to be some knockoff of the 1986 movie, that means I don't want Megatron or any of his minions to be revamped somehow, mainly because it's too similar to the old movie (Galvatron and others) and ROTF (Megatron's revival, Blackout knockoff). I'd like to see new Decepticons with different plans, something more fresh. In other words, something Michael Bay probably wouldn't consider.
Count me in. The films have been at their best when they've blazed new ground as opposed to stripmining the mythos and pidgeonholing old stories and concepts. I'd much prefer something completely original.
I just want a new main bad guy that has no connection to Megatron at all and ESPECIALLY not Megatron resurected into Galvatron. I don't care if it's Cyclonus, or a completely different-from-Megatron guy named Galvatron, just don't bring the guy back!
Depends how they'd appear in the story, I guess. Lots of TFans wanted Shockwave, and he ended up a driller cowboy in DOTM.
As long as it isn't some separate entity that isn't Megatron in any way shape or form, I'd want Galvatron.
I want those three (Galvatron, Cyclonus and Scourge), and Unicron to stay the HELL out of the Movieverse, no matter the origins.
How about Bay makes his own character. A chance to prove himself and let his insane mind go wild. Its better than him messing up a character that we love and it might make an interesting villain
Well, he'd be less recognizable. Remember that they want sales, and any movie without Megatron or Galvatron will not sell as well. Plus, "mess up a character"? This isn't G1. Nor is it any other continuity. Just like things like RID, Armada, Energon, Cybertron, and Animated, heck, toss in Prime, Movieverse is a different continuity. You can't "mess up" your own take on a character.
Sure it will. It's the good guys that sell well, so it'll need Prime and Bumblebee. The bad guys are more or less interchangable in Bay's universe. Having a completely new set of characters would also make it easier for Bay and co. to fit not only the medium they work in, and the tone and themes of the film.
Ok, you have a point. Villains do contribute though. I keep seeing kids saying stuff like "OMG MEGATRON HE'S SO BADASS" Which he is, to a point. But the truthfulness of their statements are irrelevant to their opinions in this case.
