    How much it costs to completely animate and render and all that stuff, a transformer scene? As in to make the final CGI TF clips that we see in the films. It doesn't have to be exactly how much.

    The film itself was 195 Million for total production. 30 million of that went to the cost of 3D filming. I could not locate an actual price tag for ILM, but I'd guess somewhere in the neighborhood of 10-12 million total for their work.

    Well, if Mr. Bay gave a higher estimate for the CGI, then I would say it's accurate. ILM began preproduction work on their end six or seven months before principal photography ever started.

    Their Render Farm was used for DOTM, and at one point in late post production, the entire staff was dedicated to DOTM for an entire month.
