The title says it all, looking for someone here that does repair work on Nintendo DS lite...I am wanting to put it in a new shell, which I tried myself but I guess I messed something up b/c the top screen now comes on but there is no picture at all. Everything else works except this one thing. I will have the new screen in a week or so, just not sure I want to give this a try again and break another screen. If anyone can help with this please let me know and also how much you might charge for something like this.

hmm... from the sounds of it you don't have the coiled ribbon cable inserted all the way. I've done a shell swap twice... and only have a 50% success rate. First one I did (my own) came out perfectly... the second one, both shoulder buttons stopped working.

what I recommend (since the first screen may be messed up anyway) is to open up your DS again, and make sure that coiled ribbon wire is inserted correctly into the lower board correctly (it's notched and should slide in so those notches are almost flush with the connection slot, then press down the lock bar)

I can do a DS Phat(swapped out the touch screen).

Be careful with static when touching it and remove the battery.

The ribbon cable could be damaged. It's pretty fragile.
