I don't own the Botcon TC. But, I have to say that i'm a little disappointed that Takara TC is going to be a store exclusive.

Takara was our last real chance to get a mass-released Classics TC and now it looks like it's going to be as hard or harder to get than Botcon TC.

Japanese Exclusives have shown in the past that they're extremely hard to track down, extremely limited, and extremely pricey.

It's a sad day if Takara TC turns out the same way as other Japanese store exclusives. (IMO I think it will.)

IMO the fans who didn't own Classics TC probably lost out on him all over again. I'm not whining or complaing in this thread either....I can go without TC but, it's a little disappointing that's all.

    Anyone else feel the same?

Mods: Please don't move this thread. I felt like this subject warranted it's own thread.

I don't really care. Acid Storm looks awesome.

Besides, if I really wanted TC, I'd cough up the dough.

Well, I'm sure Japanese fans weren't too happy with the Botcon set either. Heck, they still don't have Dirge or Thrust.

Fact is, main stream characters should never be exclusives. Go ahead and do your clear plastic, black repaints, or unique homages ... but leave the standard stuff alone.

Nah I don't think it's that bad. I own the Botcon set and I'm just glad that more people now have a chance to get Thundercracker. Unfortunately, like others I can see the price getting pretty god awful pretty quick.

Because heaps of Thudercrackers will be introduced into a slim market, it'll only drive the cost of Thrust and Dirge into the stratosphere. You'll have loads of new buyers in the market trying to finish off the set.

This is exactly what happened with the 2001 Japanese Fantastic Convention (Jafcon) G1 reissues of Thrust and Ramjet.

I'm sure there will be enough of this figure to go around.

I also feel it's stupid to make lead figures exclusives. If hasbro and Takara really wanted more money why would'nt they release the figs to the public. Do they really make money on the after market? It's a catch twenty two, you invest in a fig like metroplex then they reissue it. So all that hard work and cash for nothing. So it sucks and it's great for fans that can't pay 200.00 bucks for a good fig.

In the event that Henkei Thundercracker is cheaper than Botcon Thundercracker, It still won't silence the people who are disgruntled about the character not being released as a full retail product. Grown men with skewed priorities will continue to throw temper tantrums over a plastic toy, but the overall volume of complaints may decrease.

It just goes to show you that it's worth waiting for Takara's versions. From reissues, to Classics, they usually put out something just a little bit nicer. It's something to consider with the upcoming Universe molds.

How can someone on a transformers site say something this slick. Reality is some people buss their tail for their hobby. Some people are rich, or connected and might even have collected mint in box when they were young. Everyone has a right to complain. We get ripped off sometimes and other times Hasbro kinda not smart. I'm 27 you sound like you have skewed priorities by trashing people who are passionate about their hobby.

No its not bad news AT ALL.

I would also release Dirge and Thrust to.

Paying those ridiculous amounts of cash for these exclusives is Nuts.
