the ROTF leader Optimus and HA bumblebee can be considered "Masterpiece"?
I mean they are both very screen acurate in all modes.
But I dont know, I want to hear your opinions, and if you want you can post the figures that you feel deserves the "Masterpiece" title.

I wouldn't class them as Masterpieces. Things like their hands, paintjobs and some parts of the transformations (BB's seats for example) just wouldn't be an issue with MP toys. Then again, I'm fairly let down by MP Grimlock because of transformation issues.

But no, I wouldn't say they are Masterpieces.

I have Nightwatch Prime, from the 2007 line.. and while not nearly the quality of the new movie, I thought it was pretty damn awesome.. so.. maybe.

more detailed paint and articulation, but even then I wouldn't really consider them Masterpiece.

Well, we can at least consider the HA's Alternators. Hasbro said that Human Alliance was their way of bringing back Alts by hitching them into the movie-verse. And after TFing HA Bee, its pretty damn obvious these guys have Alternator level/style engineering.

Pretty close to it, but they need improved paint jobs to be considered Masterpieces. Also, BB's Arm-Seats would have to fold away and form accurate arm kibble. (I'm not sure why they didn't do that in the first place. HA Skid's seats fold.)

No. I'd consider Prime as a Masterpiece to some degree.

Nope. No die cast parts, no rubber wheels, no hand articulation, no ball joint neck...Frenzy_Rumble's Prime? Yes.

I personally consider RotF Leader Optimus to be the next best thing to a Masterpiece edition of the Movie design.

I'd consider Leader OP to be pretty close, but it needs some tune ups.

HA Bumblebee is definitely on par with Alternators.

Human Alliance bumblebee? no way. nope. he's not even all the way up to alternator standards (vehicle mode interior).

ROTF prime? he's close. if they ditched the electronics, which would allow him to compact in the back a bit more, gave him the original transformable tire design and posable fingers, and gave him a masterpiece level paint job, yes. he's the closest a mainline toy has ever gotten to the masterpiece level.

Buster Optimus Prime is closer, but he also needs another gun, which the new space from removing the electronics could allow. The guns also need the ammo belts for decoration, and some unpainted details need some bronze paint.

    No working suspension.
    no poseable hands.
    Crappy paint apps.
But yes, If you ditched the electronics and the mech alive gimmick, he could be MP

Absolutely agreed. Prime's enginerring is nothing short of amazing, and if Buster Prime does turn up just like the displayed sample (correct paint aps, pin striped flames, chrome grill, etc) that'll nail the Masterpiece status (well for me, at least).

HA BB on the other hand... pretty meh. I'd hardly rate it on equal ground with Alternators. He;s still designed in favour of mainstream (read: kids) playability over transofmration engineering.

    My humble 2 cents.
