    Does anyone buy comics online?

I have been REALLY tempted to buy the new MTMTE and RID single issues (so far I have only bought trades). My "local" comic shop is 30 minutes away and when I asked if they had Transformer comics the guy just stared at me and then said no. I would rather avoid the hassle and buy online if there is a site that has reasonable shipping.

I buy comics online only if my local place can't get a copy. Usually for the older stuff that's hard to find.

I usually go with Midtown Comics or Forbidden Comics out of NYC.

I buy them digitally through Comixology whenI can't get to the store. Then if they turn out to be amazing must owns I can track down the physical single at leasure.

ZacWilliam, that way you get to read everything as it releases, only take up physical space with the best of the best, and are doubly supporting those books you really really love.

Your local comics shop should be able to order Transformers for you.
Maybe you are talking to the wrong guy behind the desk. Its as simple as a check mark in the Diamond catalogue a few months before the release date.

I buy all my comics on ComiXology, unless its a special case like Watchmen or From Hell.

There are several online shops you can order single issues from. I used HeavyInk for a while, and their service is good. The drawbacks are a) you have to pay shipping, which costs almost as much as the comics themselves, and b) because of shipping time, it's usually the next Monday before the issues arrive.

But IDW has started doing same day paper and digital releases, so Comixology is probably the best way to get the single issues now.

I started reading TF comics through comiXology since The Death of Optimus Prime.
I will buy printed ones as well. People will think I'm wasting my money, but I don't care.

I haven't bought online comics yet. I'm thinking about it, though, because I want to get caught up on the Batman Inc series, which interests me. None of my comic shops still carry Batman Inc.

Used to buy everything from Mail Order Comics, but they just changed their website and it's very frustrating to use. Would have definitely recommended them before...

I just picked up the hard cover complete series of All Hail Megatron, on ebay for $70. Is that a good price?

If you ever go to the actual stores though, the stink will haunt you forever.

But I have ordered older comics from on line never new ones, but that's because I have like 4 LCS in a 20 minute driving radius.

I've been to both actually and they were both way too busy for me to stay long enough to have my olfactory system be offended. :D

Given the fact I live in Australia where the LCS is a rare sight, I buy 90% of my stuff online. Mainly I use Impulse Creations they offer 30% off new releases and free shipping to most places in the states IIRC (lot of good that does me though). They have a very flexible reserve/sub service which is the real kicker for me, I can pick up or a drop a book as long as it's one week before release.

I get about 15-20 books a month from them, they can take awhile to arrive, I'm usually a month behind the rest of the comic world but packaging and service has never been a problem.

I know of a store that's more than happy to hook fellow comic and TF fans up :p

Free bags & boards...more than happy to do pull lists and if enough people from here would like we are certainly open to starting an official mail order program :D

I bought the Autocracy comic last week and I'm planning to get the whole series because that's what i do. I always buy Transformers comics the day they come out. As for other online exclusives like Arkham City, I just buy the printed version. I'm hoping DC will print their new Arkham City digital series as well soon.
