Basically, all the rest of us are in the boat of waiting while some kind of issue is being corrected with the stock. I don't know if that issue was caught after the other stores had their stock shipped out, or if it only affected certain batches that shipped later. I'm loving it, oh yeah.
It's believe to be problems with the instruction book being wrecked from water damage, not the toy itself.
Internet Rumor #377 - Wet Instruction Book Recall If you go back through the Giant megathread page by page you can see how this one got started and became accepted as fact based on one guy's manual being wet. MT won't reveal what the actual QC issue is, but it was important enough to recall a huge shipment to check for it. A wet instruction manual is not a big enough issue to warrant that, it would be much easier and cheaper to simply print more off and mail them as letters to any customers/suppliers who requested them.
I always took that with a grain of salt, as even TFSource isn't sure what the delay was all about (if you read their latest store news). Maybe it was the manual, but I thought the same thing as you: why not just ship the damn thing and then send new instructions later with an explanation? We would've understood. Whatever it was, I'm happy that we probably will be getting them soon at last.
How come TFSource is the last retailer to get their Green Giants in??? If I would have known I would have never preordered with them!!!!!
it's a crap shoot with these 3rd party items. TFSource gets some of them first, BBTS or other places some other times.
