Tryin' to see if anyone can help me out on this I've read some reviews on Animated Blitzwing, and most have been quite negative in the fact that his plane or tank mode don't stay put together that well. Could anyone shed some light on this? I've been wanting to get him for quite some time.

Get him. Seriously. He really does fit together, and stays together. the plane mode can be a little finicky with the rear jet portion, but the tank mode is very solid.

He is a bit finicky at times, but once you know how he goes together he holds up just fine as a toy.

He comes with his upper arms assembled on the wrong side of his torso. Swap 'em and he stays together even better.

It's not that he flops out of his alternate modes or anything, but a lot of bits don't peg in anywhere, especially in jet mode. Visually, his alt modes might not seem very together, but otherwise his alt modes hold up alright.

Aksmth and Chosen are correct. It's one of the most visually confusing TFs in a long while in his alt modes, but for the most part he's pretty solid.

Lots of fun. I'd say buy it while you still can find it at retail.
Should start getting replaced with atomic lugnut, skywarp, wreck gar, or shockwave soon.

    Thanks alot guys.

Whoa, really? Cuz, I love his airplane mode, and hoping to display him in that mode the most. It doesn't matter that he may look confusing, I just hope he doesn't flop all over the place, and stays complete as a whole piece, sorta like the way my Starscream stays in place in jet mode.

Get Blitzwing - he's a great representation of a great character. His tank altmode is chunky, solid and stays together. The only problem with his jet mode is the portion where the thrusters are - it doesn't really plug down and will flop if you turn the jet upside down - but that's just a minor gadfly in an ocean full of ointment.

I haven't touched mine in awhile, but I remember him holding together well. The bicep switcharoo helps too.

I picked up Blitzy recently and he's a great figure. Mine stays together great in tank mode (better then in most of the video reviews out there), and the jet, the only issue is that it's pretty easy to pop the pegs that the turret plugs into the feet. Other then that, he works as advertised. Well, I also have to switch heads by turning the actual faces, for some reason I find it near impossible to get the thumbwheel to turn the faces, but that's a pretty non-issue as far as I'm concerned.

He is a definite must buy for me. When I first got him I fiddled with the toy for hours. It really is a fun one.

He's a fun figure to own but since he doesn't peg together very well in plane & tank modes it makes transforming him a bit frustrating because you sometimes accidentally untransform him from the mode you are trying to make. A few connector pegs here and there would have made him perfect. Once you finally get him into his final mode he more than makes up for this minor irritant with his utter coolness.

I'll check him out for sure. From what I gather, I guess his plane mode really flopped. That's a shame, because I love every bot that turns into a plane.

It's funny, it was the underwhelming robot mode that exceeded any issues I had with the alt modes and caused me to sell my Blitzwing. Not even the show character, which I love, could save him from the chopping block.

Mileage definitely varies when it comes to a figure like him. Heck, I'm one of those guys that likes 2.0 Tankor.

swapping the arm pieces helps the plane be more solid, IMHO
