Thanks. Now that you mention it I can see the similarities.

Would mean buying several figures and they're a bit too expensive for my taste for that (have to buy them online plus international shipping). So that's probably not going to happen. (I got my Eleven Doctors set for cheap -- paid less than 5 euro's per Doctor -- and that was part of the charm.)

Guess I have to keep hoping we'll get an official 12th Doctor in the 5" scale.

Thanks for pointing that one out, I didn't even know it existed. My bad for getting most of my Dr. Who figure news from this thread! :D

And by happy coincidence I just found one at Barnes & Noble, along with Clara. The likeness to Capaldi is far better to the naked eye than it looks in photos. I'm quite happy with it.

Is it easy to pop the head off of the new 12th Doctor figure? I was thinking of giving him the TOD head from the 11th Doctor set.

I just tried and couldn't get it off. It only rotates so I don't think it's a ball/socket joint that can pop off easily. Doesn't mean it can't come off, I'm just not willing to use excessive force.

Does anyone know if there's still any Interest in the Doctor Who Character Building stuff?

I'm out of space on my shelves and this is what I've nominated as next to go.

Since the shelf is properly up to date again, it seems a fine excuse for a little thread necromancy ;)

I was wondering if there would be a 5inch figure of 13th Doctor. I need to find a place to buy one.

Most of my DW stuff is packed away at the moment unfortunately. Would love to make some space to bring all my figures and Tardis out. My TFs have taken over all my current available display space atm.

The 13th Doctor figure was released by Character Options (and can be bought directly through their site or via Amazon) just before christmas (Graham, Ryan & Yaz were seen at a toy show the other day and are due for release as a set sometime in the near future, presuming a retailer can be found for them). Se7en20 in the US will be making their own version of the Doctor, which will be exclusively available through Toots Toys (a company I'd never heard of prior to the announcement so no idea if they're a big deal over there :p ).

The regenerated 13th Doctor in the second row is my own custom work (as are a number of the figures in that pic ;)  )

Thanks for the info. I saw that Toot Toys one on ebay, wasn’t sure about it. I’ll see if I can get the character options one so I know it will match my other figures.

I’d like to get her companions too, even though I still haven’t seen the latest season. I’m super behind on Doctor Who. I’ve actually missed at least one season of each of the last two Doctors.

I wish there were 6inch Dr who figures. I would certainly buy a 3rd doctor figure.

Those are 5 inch figures. I don’t think there’s really any 6 inch figures for this property unless they’re cloth goods. I would definitely like to see a Marvel Legends style line of Doctor Who characters since they’d fit in better with other lines.

The 5 inch figures are pretty good though.
There’s still plenty of display options for them if you look around. I do wish they’d do more playsets for them. I recently acquired the Nine and Ten’s Tardis playset and it’s massive and amazing. Would have loved to see Twelve’s Tardis console room get a playset, but that would have probably been impracticality huge.

Not sure, but I vaguely remember a complaint that they increased the size of the figures during the Capaldi run to 5.5 inch. The 12th Doctor figure I have is taller than all previous Doctors and I never got the impression Capaldi himself is that much taller.

    Still not 6 inch, though
