All we know is "they're doing it"... it would be pretty badass though.
No audio clips there. And the thought of Billie Piper anywhere near anything to do with Doctor Who ever again makes me cringe.
My intrest in the movie is dependent on the following being allowed nowhere near it,
Jesu Christ people WHY can't they leave Rose alone! She had a GOOD ending at season 2 finale WHY does she have to come bak again and again and agan she's a TERRIBLE companion WHY?!
Althoght a team up with of the three New Who Doctors would be very nice, or even with some older doctors...it could work...it'll never happen though...
Billie Piper says "they're doing it", if we're lucky that could just mean that she just has knowledge that "they're doing it" and not that SHE'S doing it.
That hope aside, she probably WILL be in it, it'll be set on Earth, Rose / or whatever companion will kiss the Doctor, and the ending will reset to where none of the last 2 hours of film ever happened.
Oh my God yes.
I would see that. Several hundred times over in theaters. Then buy the movie in every format I could find.
As long as Billie Piper isn't in it and RTD isn't writing it, then I wouldn't mind watching it.
Maybe it's going to be The Adventures of Rose and the Human Doctor in the Parallel Dimension!
They can fight more Cybermen.
I'd still see the hell out of it.
Yesh, sometime I feel I'm the only guy on here who likes the RTD stuff. Maybe it's because I didn't grow up with old Doctor Who. Anyway, looking foward to this.
Like him or not it seems the majority of who fans who jumped on with the reboot love David, hes here to stay.
I will for sure see this if it comes out.
Oh, I'll see it. Several times.
No matter how many of his fans try and "convert" me by quoting the overall popularity of him or how good his ratings were or anything else, I will always consider him the worst actor ever to play the role and if he's in the movie I'll just ignore it completely, much as I now do with his other episodes.
I started with the show in 2005, liked the first series or so, then tried a Classic era story and never looked back. Nu-Who has the occasional GREAT moment but none of them were with Tennant in the lead role.
Not trying to convert you. just trying to warn you of what to expect. Im not even that big fan of Tennant, My favorites doctors are 4 5 and 8, but I still respect him for being able to draw in so many new fans.
I'm the same way, I love RTD's stuff. I'll fully admit it's sub-par writing, but I still love the hell out of it anyway.
Glad to hear it and sorry if I was a bit touchy, I've had that much BS thrown my way from Tennant fanboys who can't accept that not everyone thinks he's the greatest thing ever that I've become a bit more wary of people.
In fairness to the man my hatred of his Doctor is more to do with RTD's useless characterisation and storytelling style than anything else. Tennant likely only did as he was told like any professional and I believe that working for a twat like RTD would stifle anyone's talent.
He will no doubt be in the movie but missing out on it wouldn't be any loss to me as most Nu-Who writing struggles to achieve mediocrity and I've still got plenty of the Classic era to catch up on.
If by any chance he doesn't appear then I would certainly consider taking a look as I think Matt Smith is excellent.
If this is what I think it is, it will be RTD and Tennant. There were rumors awhile back of Tennant doing some movies while Smith takes over the series. Personally, I'd prefer a movie with Smith, as he's already won me over as the best modern Doctor.
Although if they could get Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred back and do the 7th Doctor and Ace again, that would be the best damn thing ever.
If that happens it would be a tremendous slight to Matt Smith and Steven Moffat.
If anyone deserves another chance onscreen it's McGann and I'd like to see him in a multi Doctor story with Smith and Eccleston too if he could be persuaded.
