    Devil FTW.

Best of this series so far IMO, fingers crossed that the second half dosent flush it down the bog.

Was that the same voice guy as Sutekh? I was half expecting it to tell them all to kneeeeeeeel before him.

I seem to recall reading that it would be him, but cannot remember where I did now.

    Very good episode.

And yes Yak, the voice of the Beast is the same as Sutekh from Pyramid Of Mars. His hame is Gabriel Woolf

I liked it. A lot of suspense and finally, an off-world tale. The Uud are an interesting bunch, too. Here's hoping next week can deliver something worthy of the buildup.

Incidentally, the big seal, does it make anyone think of the Hellmouth gate?

I knew that voice sounded familiar. Ah, Sutekh the Destroyer - now there was a quality Doctor Who villain. It's amazing what Mr. Woolf was able to convey through just his voice, since Sutekh himself was mostly immobile.

Anyway, kickass episode, with its Lovecraftian elements and Doom door sounds. There was some particularly good cinematography as well.

Got it but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Gonna watch it tonight since there's nothing on now but reruns.

Have you got Pyramids of Mars on DVD?

The extra where Sutekh talks about his career is gold.

If anything, I was reminded of The Daemons, the Pertwee-era episode where the Doctor met a giant demonic creature in... someplace that I can't remember off the top of my head.

Great episode. If next week can keep this quality, this might end up being the Empty Child/Doctor Dances of series 2. :thumb

I absolutely loved that part. He named his cat Neil!

This episode was superb and it's what Doctor Who NEEDS to be in my opinion. It felt like I was watching old school Who again. I was saying last week how this season was being too kid friendly, I didn't feel that way at all for this one. Loved this one!
Too bad after this it's all exclusive to stupid Earth again and the 2 episodes we have before the final 2 parter are a couple of off beat stories. Looking forward to the last 2 though. Does anyone else feel like this season has just flown by compared to last year?
