I guess so, but doubt it'll happen. Plus, I can't vote in the poll for some reason:
Yes, I would like that. Shadows of the Empire for TF mir mir.
Polls are fucked up too? Noting.
That pretty much sums it up for me.
there are a lot of unanswered questions, plus I would like to see how Hot Rod, Blur, Kup, Arcee and Springer came together.
Also a whole series between Gen 2 and BW would be nice.
i want to see that episode, where hot rod is first introduced, where he inadvertantly kicks prime in the nuts while trying to save him, foreshadowing of things to come, et cetera, et cetera.
Of course!"Scramble City" was a good example and a larger description of the mayor events will be better.
I thought there was a comic series that took place between season 2 and the movie. Where Sparkplug dies.
But I would love a movie that would take place then
It would be cool if IDW did the TF: The Lost Years (much like John Bryne did for the X-Men) explaining the following:
i) what happened to Sparkplug & Chip;
ii) How did things get so bad for the Autobots (losing all control of Cybertron);
iii) Why did Optimus send Ultra Magnus to earth to lead the earth-based Autobots (lack of confidence?);
iv) What happened to characters like Tracks, Smokecreen, Red Alert, Inferno, & Hoist (who did not appear in the Movie nor any subsequent shows - I didn't include Grapple 'cause there's a frame in the Movie where he shows up);
Inquiring nerds want to know...
Yeah I'd love that. While seeing Ultra Magnus and company come to earth or watching Megatron return and overtake Cybertron would be cool, I'd really like to see how the Dinobots went from virtually unstoppable loose cannons to worthless fucking losers between season 2 and the movie.
See, I'd much rather see something like that. The potential for using new or relatively unexplored characters is a lot greater, most of the classic characters could still be there (Ops, Megs, Screamer, Grimlock, hot rod, etc.), we could finally find out more about Liege Maximo and maybe even see him in action, and it could open up a wealth of background information for Beast Wars that we've only been able to speculate about (pre-earth alt modes, why the switch to maximals/predacons, what happened to the old leaders, etc.)
That's easy, Wheeljack & Ratchet died and the Dinobots degenerated into "losers" without their creators!
I dunno about sparkplug, but chip likely finally realized he could actually walk (he jumps in heavy metal war) and joined the olympic track team.
Heh heh heh....good call.
Either that or we can blame El Nino or maybe the Dinos weren't Y2K compliant
Can't vote, but I'll leave an opinion anyways. I'd like to see it yes.
It'd be cool to see how the Autobots lost total control. Where the hell all the S1 & 2 characters that you never see again in S3 went. Did they die prior to the attack on Autobot City or did they go on some sort of deep space mission? Also, I'd like to see how Hot Rod, Arcee, Kup & Springer came together. What happened to the female Autobots lead by Elita-1 on Cybertron and when did Ultra Magnus show up on Earth? There's alot of questions that need to be answered...
Doesn't really matter, but why not.
I'd like to see where the majority of the combiners were during the movie.
I'd love to see something that fills in the gaps. Looking at the story alone (and not the behind-the-scenes stuff), it's pretty stupid to have so many characters simply stop appearing without acknowledgement.
So yeah, I'd vote if I could.
Well, everyone thought that Dreamwave's G1 Vol. 1 took place between Season 2 and the movie until Dreamwave announced that they were creating their own continuity.
Honestly, I think it's best left untold. I always find there's a certain quality to an untold story that is far more inviting than any telling of it. We know what happened, but not how. In my opinion that gives everyone their own interpretation of how things happened, instead of a single fixed in stone version.
In many ways its the only story that can ever satisfy everyone. Because everyone has their own version that suits their imagination.
