Eh, I'd prefer that the TV Transformers and the movie Transformers be kept in their respective playing fields.

That's what I actualy meant with character choice-thing.

Same character traits as the ones in the movie ok but they'd have to be extremely stylized and simplified, which would look awesome when done by the way, once I saw that picture on Deviantart, lost the link, but a movie cartoon in the style would look awesome.

I think the movie designs look terrible. And would continue to remain terrible if stylized or animated. I hope that design ends with the movie.

Transtech, please. I have no idea what they were thinking putting RiD out instead of that.

Maybe a couple of direct to dvd movies continuing the G1/BW/BM storyline.

No. Unless they get a company like Nerd Corps to animate it or something. But even then no. I like my traditionally designed robots, please and thank you.

no the movie franchise can stand on its own and the next cartoon series needs to be completely seperate from the movies

    Depends. What's the alternative?

If its more dubbed imports - heck yeah gimme movieverse instead!

If its another wonderful, well thought out show like TFA, or Classics the Series, or Transtech, gimme that instead!

Some things are better animated, like Street Fighter, but if you took the transformers movie characters and animated them, no....

Indications are the entire franchise is moving towards the movie in terms of look and feel, if that G1 Robot Heroes book IDW is doing is anything to go by.

I don't mind either way, so long as the cartoon gets decent stories and I can buy decent toys.

The 70/30 split has basically been the same since the beginning of the poll. And seeing as how TFW is probably one of the most pro movie websites as compared to other websites, one can extrapolate that its probably a larger percentage than 70% who don't want to see the movie as the next Animated series.

I personally think its a horrible idea. Its sad when compared to other high quality cartoon shows, the things that Hasbro been producing as of late. I just got done watching Avatar: The Air Bender, and I was THE most blown away I have been by a cartoon since the Aladdin Disney movie came out.

The humor in Avatar was spectacular. I know we use "lol" a lot, but I literally laughed out loud. Many many times. I actually gave a damn about the characters. I grew attached to every single one of the characters. If you guys haven't seen it, catch a few of the first episodes and decide for yourselves the kind of quality cartoon you've been missing.

Avatar is fantastic and was the best show on TV for a while. Sad it has ended but we may still see some animated movies in preparation for the Avatar movie coming.

Avatar has a soul. I think a lot of shows designed for no other reason but storytelling do. It wasn't intended to sell 'something' first, be a show second. It was designed from day 1 to be a show and an excellent show. I think this is one thing we will never see in a transformers franchise. It will never be 'show first, toys second'.

I don't mind more "robotic" forms for the TFs. Your sig itself shows that Ratchet is purely a bunch of squares, rectangles, and trapezoids. I think the old school "blocky" look of TFs looks silly.

On the other extreme, you have Bayformers. Where you could not even tell where an eye or a mouth is. You can't tell where the forearm stops and the arm begins. There are just pieces of metal sticking out just to stick out. Its hard to understand what you're looking at sometimes - even with a still frame.

I would like something less blocky, but not to the extreme of Bayverse. And please stop designing the Decepticons to look like mosnters and the Autobots to look like humans.

I'd like to see them take the first to seasons of G1 and reanimate them(except for B.O.T., we can pretend that turd never existed!) Keep the same voice tracks from G1, fix some of the sound effects, redo the animation. It would be full of awesomeness!

What would you say about a... Animated take on the movie style, akin to this:
